  1. Brees is untradeable with that contract. I call BS
  2. meh, I say he gets pie for noticing the e-bulge.
  3. now it will come out that Tolbert was on the road getting some on the side and told his wife and mama he was in AR at the funeral. #offseasonastheworldturns #howrumorsstart
  4. I think it obviously did but I also remember the good times. But it verified what I have heard Jeremy report many times, that Deangelo was a diva and not well-liked by team-mates outside of fellow RB's (and apparently Greg Hardy). But really, I don't go to funerals for my friends mothers even if they are in town. I think the pink dye got into his scalp.
  5. might be some competition for Ginn; http://espncleveland.com/common/more.php?m=49&action=blog&post_id=42741 Bring him home: Sometimes things fall in your lap and when that happens don’t over-think it, just accept it. The Browns need a return specialist. Ted Ginn Jr. was released by the Arizona Cardinals on Monday afternoon. The Cleveland native and son of legendary high school coach Ted Ginn told me two years ago at Super Bowl 47 with the 49ers in New Orleans that he would love to finish his career with his hometown Browns. So what is taking so long? Ginn may not have fulfilled the lofty expectations created by his draft status as ninth overall pick out of Ohio State by the Miami Dolphins in 2007, but he is still a dangerous return specialist and would instantly help the Browns’ awful, 28th-ranked return unit. Ginn has seven career return touchdowns and five consecutive seasons averaging 10 or more yards on punt returns. Ginn’s NFL career has resembled that of another native Clevelander who was over-drafted, Desmond Howard. At the age of 30, Howard was with his fifth NFL team (with a Super Bowl MVP trophy in tow) and proceeded to average 14.5 yards per punt return for the Detroit Lions and earn his only Pro Bowl berth.
  6. Ginn is what he is. Calling him a legit WR threat is a stretch. Add to the fact he is another year older and I'm definitely in the "vet min" group. If we go for a FA returner I'd like to see if we can get CJ Spiller at a decent price....................
  7. I found it interesting that cornering a member for continued "moral" posting is considered a personal attack. #onlyonthehuddle
  8. I'm not throwing out the idea of gambling on DGB but using a first rounder on him would not be in our best interest. But I also agree with you that he won't last to our 2nd rounder. Somebody will gamble on him. Comparing him to Randy Moss is a bit of a stretch as Moss set college records on the field and at the combine, not in "perceived talent". And testing positive for pot is a hell of a lot different than getting busted with a pound of it.
  9. I guess I'm just not focused on using top pick on a WR (again). Clearly this team only lived up to its potential when the OL play and secondary got better in December. If we don't invest our top pick there I would be very disappointed.
  10. jmo but his two cents are extremely pertinent here. there are two specific cases of teams reaching for players with questionable judgement and in both cases those teams got burned. In both cases there were many on this board that wanted the panthers to invest top picks in those guys. Where would we be now with either of those guys on board? And our picks not on board?
  11. If the Panthers had just blown the super bowl like the hawks did I'd be hanging around a different team message board also. Why not one you're a mod on?
  12. I have an image in my head of Matt Ryan's Doppleganger pushing one button at new stadium to open/close the sphincter and then pushing other button for piped in cheering. over and over and over and ...............
  13. Would be helpful to have a poll once we get to the top contenders. then select the least popular with the masses
  14. Call the same damn play. No one will ever see it coming.
  15. I blame the loss this latest loss on my wife, I was updating my teams when she told me my birthday present was a limo ride from ILM to BOA for Saints game (full bar, satellite TV, 50 YL, 11th row). I updated my espn teams but forgot all about my yahoo team and stupid Arian Foster. Was texting friends and arranging the party bus and then saw it was freaking 1:01pm.... would not have helped but still embarrassing.
  16. I have to admit this is the only podcast I listen too. Actually have not even listened to a podcast in years, thought it was old school. But with 2/3rds of you having a face made for radio I get it, just would love to see you add a youtube channel for visual proof of the (alleged) pushups!
  17. I am the New Orleans Saints of this league. Favored in every game and get spanked each time. New England Defense almost 50 points?
  18. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2014/09/05/bucs-offering-free-tickets-to-loyal-season-ticket-owners/ There is no local "corporation" buying up the seats. The bucs are eating it. This season is a last chance gasp at becoming relevant again and they need butts in the seats. This is more than their superbowl, this is about keeping the team in Tampa. The ownership is buying in so props to them and I think it says a lot about how much damage has been done there that they have to give away tickets to fill the stadium. If their fanbase doesn't realize what is going on then they deserve to lose the team to London.
  19. My report card from Yahoo, B Led by a Quality Group of RBs, Wilmington LandShark Will Dominate the League Draft Summary Tony Romo Percy Harvin T.Y. Hilton Eddie Lacie Arian Foster Charles Clay Terrance Williams C.J. Spiller St Louis Alex Henery bench: Joique Bell Anquan Boldin DeAngelo Williams Jerricho Cotchery Jared Cook Joe Flacco John Brown Picking fourth in the draft, Wilmington LandShark delivered a roster that even a spurned ex would have to appreciate. They're projected to finish second in Huddle Champions League at 11-2-0 (2,046 points). They loaded up on ball carriers early, using three of their first five picks to scoop up RBs Eddie Lacy (first round), Arian Foster (second round), and C.J. Spiller (fourth round). A lot will be expected of this group, as they are the best RB tandem in the league. Nice draft. If there were a Fantasy Football Hall Of Fame, you should nominate yourself. Wait, there is? And you can?? Schedule Wilmington LandShark should use Week 4 to consider life's great mysteries, like why Greenland is ice and Iceland is green? It would be better than checking fantasy football that week. They have five players and the most projected fantasy points on bye that week. Taking a look at the entire season from start to finish, they have one of the softest schedules. Along with having the third-easiest overall schedule, Wilmington LandShark also has the easiest first four games of the season. Draft Notes Brett Favre is Just a Phone Call Away It's likely that in Week 11, Wilmington LandShark will either be scraping the wire or begging for a trade (Tony Romo and Joe Flacco will both be on bye). You can give Favre a call, but texting him isn't recommended. Asset Allocation RB is the strongest position for Wilmington LandShark, though DEF and K aren't too shabby either. Great Idea, Poor Execution Apparently Wilmington LandShark missed the point of drafting a back-up defense. In Week 4, both St. Louis and Cleveland will be on bye. Defense Wins Championships? Wilmington LandShark chose to go with two DEFs instead of loading up at other spots. A Low Floor, but a High Ceiling? Wilmington LandShark grabbed a sleeper in John Brown with pick No. 213. Wilmington LandShark Went All YOLO Here Grabbing John Brown at pick 213 was, let's say, conceptually adventurous. Brown is owned on just a few rosters across all Yahoo! leagues. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy with draft overall but was losing it near the end. Was so worried about bye weeks for RB's and WR's I never checked for bye weeks on back up QB's and DEF so blew chunks there. If anyone needs a RB I am placing a few on the table, but looking to switch some backups to make that future problem go away! Also, resisted the urge to go TE early so anyone loaded there has upper hand in negotiating for a RB.
  20. As panther fans we should all be used to that.
  21. good draft. KB and Green Eggs kept stealing my picks but enough weapons left to put you guys down with my patented "silent but deadly" FFL approach.
  22. yes thanks, got a little nervous but draft link showed up at 8:06. Hopefully Josh Gordon drops to me in round 2
