But it verified what I have heard Jeremy report many times, that Deangelo was a diva and not well-liked by team-mates outside of fellow RB's (and apparently Greg Hardy). Ginn is what he is. Calling him a legit WR threat is a stretch. Add to the fact he is another year older and I'm definitely in the "vet min" group. If we go for a FA returner I'd like to see if we can get CJ Spiller at a decent price....................

I'm not throwing out the idea of gambling on DGB but using a first rounder on him would not be in our best interest. But I also agree with you that he won't last to our 2nd rounder. Somebody will gamble on him. Comparing him to Randy Moss is a bit of a stretch as Moss set college records on the field and at the combine, not in "perceived talent". And testing positive for pot is a hell of a lot different than getting busted with a pound of it.

I guess I'm just not focused on using top pick on a WR (again). Clearly this team only lived up to its potential when the OL play and secondary got better in December. If we don't invest our top pick there I would be very disappointed.

jmo but his two cents are extremely pertinent here. there are two specific cases of teams reaching for players with questionable judgement and in both cases those teams got burned. In both cases there were many on this board that wanted the panthers to invest top picks in those guys. Where would we be now with either of those guys on board? And our picks not on board?

I blame the loss this latest loss on my wife, I was updating my teams when she told me my birthday present was a limo ride from ILM to BOA for Saints game (full bar, satellite TV, 50 YL, 11th row). I updated my espn teams but forgot all about my yahoo team and stupid Arian Foster. Was texting friends and arranging the party bus and then saw it was freaking 1:01pm.... would not have helped but still embarrassing.
