  1. Agreed. I remember a couple of years ago when Herbert came out and we were in the mix to draft him that many on here didn't want to draft him because many thought he would be a bust but look at him now... Actually doing a great job with the Chargers. I am, in no way, comparing Pickett to Herbert but can we hold off on the bust talk until he actually plays meaningful games in the NFL? I do think that we should trade back and gain some more draft capital but with our recent free agent signings, to me it is hinting they are going to stay at 6 and weigh their options.
  2. I didn't say it would happen, I was saying I am hoping it will happen.... There is a difference. In all seriousness, the roster isn't all terrible.... I just think they need proper coaching.
  3. Am I the only person that truly hopes that we beat the crap out of whatever team he chooses going forward?
  4. Honestly, we don't need a superstar at the QB position, we just need a QB who can manage the game and be a smart decision maker. Minshew would be ideal in that role.
  5. Honestly, I don't think he got a fair shake as a head coach. He came into a pretty bad situation. I'd prefer him over Rhule.
  6. If Will Fuller comes here, you think DJ Moore or Robby Anderson gets traded???
  7. Interesting... Played with... Who else.... Watson in Houston
  8. Maybe because we didn't know what the outcome of the legal proceedings would be so it was too late to fire Rhule this late in the season.
  9. So I am thinking outside the box a little on this theory but What if Watson wants to come here knowing very well Rhule could be on his way out next year??? Hear me out on this: Watson comes here, team continues to build, Rhule gets fired, and Watson has a say on who becomes head coach... Which could lead to his preferred choice.... Brian Flores.
  10. So with everything final, who are the top Candidates for 2023??? Brian Flores? DeMeco Ryans? Brian Callahan? Kellen Moore? Byron Leftwich? Raheem Morris? Patrick Graham? Am I missing anyone???
  11. Dude.... These interviews are just annoying... Just call the game!
  12. Jack Coan had a pretty decent drive. Might be an interesting name in the later rounds or even pick him up undrafted.
  13. I would not be opposed to Mike McDaniel from SF if he doesn't get an offer this off-season. The dude is cut from the same tree lines of Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan. The only flipside to that may be that he may bring Jimmy G with him.
  14. We'll see it official when he is actually in Vegas and committed.
  15. Why do I get the feeling that Jimmy G will wind up in Tampa Bay? It just seems like a perfect transition.
  16. If we are that stupid to draft a CB again in the first round, why not just trade some spots and pick up someone like Jordan Davis for the DL to shore up the line?
  17. I could see that... After all, didn't he grade Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, and Lamar Jackson (all athletic but accurate QBs) ahead of Darnold? Willis reminds me a little of Jackson
  18. I highly doubt we will get any of the top three but out of those three, Rodgers makes the most sense just simply of the connection between him and Macadoo but Rodgers has stated he dont want to go to a rebuild. Wilson more than likely will end up in New Orleans is my guess. Watson wants to follow Flores. I am curious where Macadoo ranks the QB class this year. He does seem to have a knack for finding QB takent. My bet will be he will be high on Pickett. Jimmy G could be a decent fit for this offense.
  19. As someone who married a Georgia girl, who is a diehard Georgia Bulldogs fan through and through... I got to go with the dawgs. The last time Georgia won a Natty was back in 1984.... They are due for one and not winning tonight will be a major heartbreak for Georgia fans. What scares me the most is that Georgia is favored to win... That generally does not bold well against Alabama as you saw from the SEC Championship and even dating back to their last meeting in the Natty. So crossing fingers for a Georgia victory tonight. GO DAWGS!
  20. If no one that we like is at that six spot, we will
  21. I am on board the trade back train, honestly. I think if we can gain back a 2nd or 3rd, I would be fine if we got a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round but I am really not in favor of selecting one in the first knowing damn well that we don't a 2nd or 3rd round pick. With the recent injury to Corral, I think Carolina could possibly wait till then to pick him up or even Strong and solidify the offensive line with a guy like Cross in the 1st.
  22. 1. Fire Rhule- There may be some debate on this because I know there are a few on here that would like to see what Rhule can do in year 3 BUT in order to get to that point, that coach would need to make significant progress from year 1 and year 2 and so far, Rhule is trending downward so therefore, Rhule needs to be gone. 2. Hire Matt Eberflus- I know many on here want a offensive guru as HC but I feel like Eberflus would be one of those few exceptions where I feel like he would make a great head coach. Eberflus could continue to get The best out of this good defense and hire an experienced OC who can reinvent this offense. I could see someone like Doug Pederson or Matt Nagy (if fired from the Bears) coming in and doing wonders for our offense. 3. Sign FA OL- There is quite a few names on the market that could really come in and help us. Cam Robinson would be an instant upgrade at the tackle position and Laken Tomlinson or Justin Britt could be a decent upgrade inside. 4. Trade down in draft- The Sam Darnold trade was probably one of the worst trades we could've done and on top of the fact that we lost our third round pick as well which is why I believe that we may not sit still at the #8 pick if that is where we will wind up at. If we pick up some OL in free agency, we could take BPA, unless there is a decent OL at that pick. I do not see us picking a QB in this draft since we still have Darnold for another year and considering that this QB is weaker than last year's unless we trade back and gain a 2nd and/or 3rd round pick. Surprise Move.... Trade CMC- I love CMC as much as anyone else BUT with his on going injury history and the fact that we have very little draft picks, I could see CMC being the sacrificial goat for this team. Overall, I think this team could be well positioned with these moves.
  23. I think this team is in a lot better shape than most give credit for. In comparison to someone like Jacksonville, is in lot worse of shape than we are. Defensively, we have good players, we just need more experience at the coaching position. Offensively is where it may give the new coach some troubles BUT if John Fox can inherit a 1-15 team and Ron Rivera can take over a 2-14 team, surely a new coach can take over this team.
