It's funny people on here calling others "Bryce Defenders" or "Copers" but yet their only form of defense is just blindly hating Bryce Young and comparing him to what CJ Stroud... Here's the reality, does Bryce suck? Sure he does. Is Bryce a bust? He very well possibly might be but the thing is (and what many on here have been pointing out) that, it is really hard to evaluate Young with what is surrounding him. Call that excuses for him all you want but if you cannot see that there is more to this team sucking than just Young than I think you are just blindly hating on Young. And this isn't just coming from the so called, "Bryce Defenders" on here, it is coming from sources outside of the huddle, such as multiple analyst and media outlets. So I am not apologizing for reserving judgement on Bryce until after next season and if that makes me a "Bryce Apologist" in your eyes... Well... That's on you.

Don't we say this every year?? There will always be a prospect where you start asking yourself, "we should go after him" but then later it is, "We better wait till next year's draft because X Player looks a lot better"

I don't know.. I could see Fitterer staying just based on recent reports of Tepper liking Fitterer but all indications are that, if anything, Reich is gone. I think it is just a matter of when instead of if it is happening.
-
While nothing is guaranteed, it looks as if Fitterer and Reich might be on their way out of Carolina. That said, it is never too early to start thinking about who could potentially take over for both positions. You'll have to forgive me in advance because I am not good at write-ups so my reasonings may sound a little generic. So here are some names that we could target: GM Kevin Colbert (Former Steelers GM): If Tepper truly wants someone who he is familiar with, Colbert is the guy and has TONS of experience on creating a winning culture. Adam Peters (Assist. GM 49ers): Most of the credit tends to go to John Lynch for the development of this current roster for the 49ers but Peters has quietly been a vital part of the process and is a rising star among the potential GM candidate list for multiple teams Mike Borgonzi (assist GM Chiefs): Like Peters, rising star in the ranks and coming from a Superbowl winning team. Borgonzi could be a guy that can bring that winning culture with him. Adrian Wilson (VP of PP Panthers): Now I know that "in house" candidates may not be ideal but Wilson is a guy that could be good and may bring some good ideas. HC Ben Johnson (Lions OC): Probably as ideal as you want to get for HC. He is young, innovative, and seems like a no-nonsense type of guy... He is exactly who Carolina needs as HC. Brian Johnson (Eagles OC): His name was a hot name for OC this past off-season but now his name will be a hot name for HC. The Eagles are playing hot on offense and has really helped with the development of Jalen Hurts... Which could be beneficial to Bryce Young. He is young and raw as a coordinator so not sure if he is ready for the HC position yet though. Kellen Moore (Chargers OC): I said this in multiple threads but this is a guy that the Panthers were supposedly high on besides Johnson and Reich. He came in for an interview and didn't leave Charlotte because they wanted him for a second interview. He has really done a great job getting the best out of Herbert this year and may even take over for HC if Staley is let go in LA Bobby Slowick (Texans OC): You want to talk about a guy that has developed QBs, Slowick is that guy. He was part of the reason why Brock Purdy played well last year and now is playing a part in the fast development of CJ Stroud's tremendous rookie campaign...Again, someone who might be able to get more out of Bryce Young. Much like Brian Johnson though, he is raw as a coordinator though and think he needs another year to prove it thoug Ejiro Evero (Panthers DC): Kind of similar situation to Adrian Wilso but I know "in house" candidates isn't the most ideal for this team but I do think Evero would be an exception. I am not a big fan of a defensive guy taking over but I really do like Evero and maybe he can pull out a "Wilks" like situation if named interim and actually win the job. Jim Harbaugh (Michigan HC): I personally do not want the headaches but some on here feel that he should be included in this list so here it is. It seems like wherever he goes, success does occur so it is no surprise fans want him. I personally think he will wind up as the Bears HC though I know there are more names and admittingly, I am not familiar with the GM choices outside of those select few so feel free to add to the list. I did not include Wilks because I think that ship has sailed and as eluded to in another thread, this is an offensive driven league and every team that will be searching for a HC will probably want that young, hungry offensive minded coach, and I know this past offseaon we did not shy away from that. So please feel free to include thoughts!

Someone that may fly under the radar and that is currently on the 49ers' staff is Klint Kubiak. He was the OC for the Vikings and I didn't think he did that bad of a job but maybe learning under Shanahan elevates his credentials a little. I don't think he is ready yet though.
-
And to add to that, this is a offense driven league... Since 2010, only two defensive HCs have actually won the Superbowl and that was Bill Belichick and Pete Carroll. Here's the thing, Wilks' "power run" offense would only be effective for a short period of time before teams start to figure it out and most will easily get tired of Wilks and want him fired. Going offense was the correct way to go, just the wrong coach. Ben Johnson for the win!
-
I agree with you on that
-
I'd rather be a consistent playoff team myself
-
Probably... Which is why I mentioned Kellen Moore as a real possibility
-
Except, Tepper made it clear that he wants an offensive guy. Y'all might as give it up on the Wilks train... That train has departed. As said in multiple threads, Wilks was not nor will ever be the answer, unless you want this team to stay mediocre.
-
Here's another name that may fly under the radar: Brian Callahan (offensive Coordinator for the Bengals) He is a vital part of Joe Borrow's development so would not surprise me at all if Tepper is "impressed" enough to get an interview and could also be a influence to getting Tee Higgins.
-
I've said this in a few other threads but apparently Kellen Moore really impressed them so much that they didn't let him leave Charlotte for a second interview... Would not surprise me at all if Tepper went that route.
-
Lol
-
I will probably agree with you... I think that was his #1 target this off-season and will be this offseason but I know many are concerned that hey may not want to come here as dysfunctional as this FO is but then again, money talks!
-
Let's just say that, come season's end, that the Panthers part ways with Frank Reich and staff. Regardless who the GM is, y'all know that Tepper will have final say. So with that said, who do you think Tepper will choose as HC? Before you answer this question, keep in mind that I am not asking who you want as HC but simply who you think Tepper will choose. And go...

Do you watch CJ Stroud and wonder ‘what if’?

And neither are why Bryce is being defended. Several, including national pundits, podcasters, and a minority of fans have pointed out multiple times why this offense has failed... Yes, some of it is on Bryce, but that's not all the reasons... To pinpoint it all on Bryce is generally generally just excuses to hate on him instead of looking at the whole picture. -

I mean, I can call the Bryce Haters the same... Always finding excuses to hate on Bryce -

So pretty much this whole thread basically confirms that this is a house divided and no matter what your opinion is of Bryce, you will not change the other party's mind so we might as well end the pettiness and the insults. You can call me a Bryce "apologist" or "defender" if you want but still stand by my opinion that it way to early to call Bryce a bust. I knew going into this season that it will be rough and my expectations on here would be low because it's a new staff, new offense, and a new QB learning. I just know that I didn't expect it to be "one win" bad. I know some of that is on Bryce but I am a realist and I know it has a lot to do with this current staff and this scheme as well as the foundation around Bryce so to solely place all the blame on Bryce, to me, is asinine. Agree or disagree, that is your choice but, I am playing the "wait and see" approach before jumping conclusions. -

I swear, some of you on here have a obsession of hating on Bryce Young... Y'all really need to take a break from Football and enjoy life lol -
If Tepper is smart he goes after Jim Harbaugh.

The exact reason why I can't take this guy seriously on his posts
