Yeah, could be it but I swear I saw someone posting that the Panthers were quietly going away from Ben Johnson... I am going to research it a little more... Could just be someone talking out of their arse though.

I don't know... I think I read somewhere (maybe on here) that the Panthers are moving quietly away from Johnson. The only other two we have shown interest in is MacDonald and Monken so is quite possible one, if not both, could get a second interview But if the reports are true that they want a tandem that has worked together, then Canales makes the most sense.

Because it just seemed like wasted resources if the overall decision to hire Evero came from Tepper... What was the point of even going through this process then??

No trust me, I am bracing for it... Although, I think I will be more mad if Evero got it, not because I don't think he would be a good HC, but more so pissed as to why we invested in a hiring firm just to promote from within.

I may be in the minority here but I will give Morgan the benefit of the doubt before proclaiming him a bad hire. I hope he at least takes what he learned in Buffalo and applies it here. The HC will be a crucial hire for him.

I keep telling y'all not to sleep on MacDonald for HC. Folks want Harbaugh will love MacDonald because he comes from the same tree. Watching his pressers, he just looks the part of a confident HC. -
I understand your point of view and generally I agree but, you have to look at the Shanahan tree and see the success rate that has occured, and that includes DeMeco Ryans. The only thing that would hold back Slowick's potential will be Tepper though.

Btw, as I was researching Callahan, I saw a video from the Locked On Titans podcast that Callahan is having a second interview with the Titans... So Callahan to the Titans may be in play.

On the home stretch... Unless we add a last minute interview.... What's everyone's guess for who gets a second interview???? Obviously Ben Johnson will be one.

I saw somewhere that Dan Quinn is returning to Dallas as DC... Maybe someone can confirm that. I have a sneaky suspicion that a defensive coach may end up a front runner. I would not be shocked at all if Mike MacDonald ends up, at most, a finalist

Also, two names on that list (Canales and Slowick) has not even accepted the Panther's request to interview yet... Not sure if they are interested or just focusing on playoffs but seems kind of weird they haven't accepted yet.

I said this in a earlier thread but it's interesting the amount of connections there is between the GM candidates and the HC candidates.... Canales and Greenberg Canales and Dobbs/Morgan? Monken/MacDonald and Matteo Quinn and Dobbs/ Morgan? Morris and Greenberg Smith and Harley B.Johnson and Disner Br Johnson and Halaby Am I missing any???

I've heard Falcons are in play for Belichick.... That would awesome if we wind up with Vrabel though and Falcons end up with Belichick... Could be a fun rivalry in the NFC South
