Upon further review he definitely could be someone's number one I don't know if we're willing to pay the price to keep or obtain elite talents at the peak of their careers the way we've handled the last three we've had.
-
Tee Higgins isn't a number one WR it's similar to the Brian Burns arguments you guys wouldn't want us to pay him and he's looking to get paid as well. Its very similar he's not a top tier WR but a step below Burns is not a Bosa level DE but a step below.

I can’t let this be the narrative I’m a homer and all but what we saw a lot of missed blocks Oline men getting handled leaving BY no time and WR miscommunications where it seemed like they didn’t know what route to run. That’s not showing nothing that’s not all being on the same page after a full training camp. Definitely could and I’d say will look better with Miles playing but that’s not just showing nothing that’s a team learning a new system with new teammates still putting it together. As compared to a teams 2nd or 3rd year per say how much more comfortable Kenny Pickett looks this offseason.

Stack the box let a healthy Horn eliminate his man and double Pitts on longer downs 2&9 or 3&8 make other players make plays.

I thought it's a matchup league you exploit your opponents weaknesses to max. I understand what you're saying but usually you beat your opponent by exploiting there weaknesses. Remember teams running for 200 plus last season on us in this passing league but rarely passing for 350 or something crazy like that because we couldn't stop the run but have done well against good passing offenses.

Oh yeah they looked weak out there, question I have is if they looked like that and they traded for ISM is he worse than them (oh poo) or did they get it wrong and trade away a real playmaker?
-
It’s not going to hurt anyone or even the cap make it happen let trying to tell the team what to pay our best Pass rusher he might not be Bosa but he’s our key DE pay him and move on the cap will work itself out in the future. A deep playoff run would recoup whatever extra funds we kick out on concessions and tickets we got a lot of rookie deals still we’re ok to pay our DE 30 a year for now get 3 years of good work out of him trade or restructure the contract after that if he hasn’t performed up to standards.
-
Nope pay the man let's move forward as long as we structure it right shouldn't be any problems with the cap in the future.

I've recently said that's probably our best strategy to win this week sell out on the run. Force Ridder to beat us, the best part of that plan is Horn as we know hom usually erases his man from the field so it'll only leave a good TE and one or two WR to cover. We should be able to scheme them out the game to some degree leaving us with a small advantage. Panthers 27 Failcons 20

Got Slam itttt pay the man let's wrap this up. I can't believe we're here 5 days before the season but deals get done before the season all the time we can make this happen. Fitts is a deal maker and Sul...our cap specialist have to be able to put it together they've done nothing but claim they want him long term through the non trade and all off-season dialogue indicates we're going to pay him. It's time to live up to all that big talk.
-
I agree but you have to factor in we looked bad against the Giants also and AT is our number one WR in most people's assessment he's old and kinda slow at this stage of his career. And no QB (even though we believe in him) has ever been this short and really successful outside of Drew Brees so there's arguments to make as far as to why we'll Not be as good as we hope.
-
Lol not me I’ll be making a easy 10k if you’re right.

I agree with both of you playoffs are obtainable not that realistic but obtainable if things go our way. Also I think he’s trying to lower expectations so if we over deliver it’ll be a major bonus for where we’re at in this rebuild. First yes we’ve been rebuilding for awhile but it was with a coach who doesn’t know how to build. So we had to restart the process to try to get it right. Let me jump into the playoffs now argument if we step outside of our team and scan the NFC it makes things a little clearer. I’ll try to give a quick assessment teams with elite talent all around and top notch coaching they should be put ahead of us as of now things do change in the league fast but we’re using realistic what we know now judgements…49ers Seahawks Phila Dallas NYG (you choose Minn/GB somebody has to represent the N both have playmakers a strong Oline and GB has a good defense) you could swap Det for the NYG that leaves one playoff spot left. Vegas and the rest of the nfl world has the Saints winning the division from the outside in it’s makes sense. Vet QB strong Oline multiple playmakers on offense (rookie of the year WR offensive player of the year MT) a top ranked defense and a coaching staff who’s returning not like us just learning a scheme. Or an aging but still good WR AT oft injured WR Chark and young inexperienced Mingo/TMJ. If you watch a lot of football it makes pure sense to say it can happen it’s obtainable but it’s more of stretch then we like to admit. Who’s more likely to perform better a vet with weapons all around him or a rookie with a few good pieces around him. No matter how large my homer glasses are it’s hard to say we with this roster out preform these teams weekly and make the playoffs when all those other teams are ahead of us in talent and cohesion and that’s what matters most. But I’ll still probably put 200 on us to win the NFC at Kings Mtn tomorrow because it pays out 10k and I’m a big time homer.

I like Nick he's usually on point with his opinions. The problem is the national media doesn't have time to really break down our roster and playmakers, but in his defense if you've watched any of our preseason games ummm I'd probably say the same. We feel different because one we're homers and two we're extremely optimistic about our team. When I talk to non fans or look up other people's opinions they have are WRs ranked about bottom 3-4 out of the entire league. If you've seen our Oline in preseason it looks like a bottom of the league Oline. Put those two together with a rookie QB and I don't see how we're not projected close to the bottom 5ish offensively. I want us to be good I'm bragging we'll win the South this year but it's going to be a major uphill battle based off what we've seen in preseason so far bad blocking no speed or separation in the WR room and no open lanes for our RB to get through. Yes I know it's just preseason so you don't game plan but if you've seen other teams you'll notice the Steelers go out and the offense looks effective. Saints looked good with their starters like the Jets NYG and countless other teams.

Trade: Panthers Acquire Ihmir Smith-Marsette from Chiefs
trucpfan replied to Bluetooth's topic in Carolina Panthers
We needed to add speed at our WR position in a major way. Big-time upgrade Totally agree we needed some real fire in the WR room. I can definitely believe you have to find yourself before you can go out and preform at a high level. Is it possible he can take TMJ spot they're basically in similar positions in their careers I'm not advocating for it but his playmaking abilities with Bryce's accuracy could be a potential big play repeatedly. I like TMJ alot but I also understand playmaking trumps everything and returners tend to have that stop and go that make you miss type of playmaking. Which I think could put him in a position to get a few more opportunities then TMJ. Anyone else see this happening or am I just overly excited about having a new weapon on offense. -
I’ll never forget the look on Fittz face he looked so dam upset.
-
Why TF are we keeping 5 TE’s I know Frank likes 2 TE sets but dam this is ridiculous. I’m so confused as to how this makes us a better team.
-
Why would you tell someone how to live their life if two people can start a family and enjoy their life together who are we to tell them how to structure their marriage. This makes no dam sense if my wife lets me occasionally sleep with women in our marriage who are you to judge or tell us what to do and not do. The case was dismissed, I never thought and still don’t think he raped her based off the actual facts of the case but you’re entitled to your opinion just don’t try to pass off opinions as facts. I’m not even here to be arguing with another man ever just needed to clear up that misconception of what accusations vs actual fundings and verdicts are. Back to our roster and The Panthers we’ll have more to converse about.
-
I would never in my life defend or justify rape the topic was how he cheated on his wife. I thought, you guys are now talking about rape that he was found NOT guilty of so I could never call him a rapist. Typically if you’re found not guilty that means you didn’t do it imo he didn’t rape her so why would I defend something he didn’t do. You’re just a weirdo who is looking to argue over something a man was found not guilty of doing. What’s your angle the logic makes no dam sense stop disrespecting the Late Great Kobe Bean Bryant when you want to argue use facts only it’ll help your silly nonsensical points you’re attempting to make.
-
Dam I was getting worried but those two players really change what we can do offensively. I can’t wait to BY with his weapons even though they’re not elite pieces we may see something special when we open up the playbook and scheme guys open. Glad neither are headed to PUP or anything even close.
-
Yea I can tell someone doesn’t know the life of a professional athlete because it’s a part of the you’re set for life package. Your wife will have to endure some meaningless sexual encounters. From a few I’ve hung with the main emphasis is never having children outside your marriage besides that wifes definitely understand you might poke a random it’s just the way it is.
-
My goodness this man really doesn't know offense I see he still can't spot offensive talent. At least he knows his defense inside and out
-
It's definitely needed for us especially the offensive line working in a new piece. Bryce needs a little more time with his receivers and hopefully Miles plays just to give the O a sense of comfortability
-
Seems like that was in the past when we had four games. Nowadays I just saw Aaron Rodgers is playing in this 3rd game to get ready for the season along with a bunch of other QBs.
