  1. Collins would likely be the BPA in this situation. Begs the question, do the Panthers see him as a tackle or guard?
  2. We have some great options right now at 25. Dorsett, La'el Collins, Humphries
  3. David Newton is going to be super awkward at the podium.
  4. Gurley to the Lions actually makes a lot of sense as well.
  5. I'd love if the draft fell this way. We are looking at great value meeting need potentially at 25 right now. Which means the draft won't fall this way.
  6. Oh how I've missed the "pick is in" chime sound.
  7. Before you even made your point about Brown and his production in college you mentioned concern over Dorsett's size. That is all I was alluding to when I mentioned Antonio Brown. Their similarities in size/stature. That is it. I wasn't discussing anything about their college careers or how Dorsett may translate his skills in the NFL. I was simply mentioning Brown's name as a reason I'm not worried about Dorsett's durability/size. But yes, now that you mention it...I do believe Dorsett is worth a first round pick. Just because he wasn't asked to run the entire route tree in his offense and was the go-to deep threat doesn't mean he is a one trick pony or lacks the ability to run other routes. He is extremely fast and quick in and out of his breaks and would give any corner nightmares trying to cut on a dime to stay on his hip. All accounts from his Pro Day state he impressed all in attendance with his route running ability and hands. Lets also not pretend Brown was facing top competition in college while playing at Central Michigan in the Mid-American Conference. Dorsett was facing NFL corners in the ACC on a weekly basis and played his senior year with a true freshman at QB in an offense that ran first and gave the rock to Duke Johnson 20+ carries a game. I think his game compliments Kelvin's tremendously well...we need a deep threat and a receiver that can run after the catch and turn small gains into home runs.
  8. Your initial statement expressed concern that Dorsett can't or may not be able to hold up physically in the NFL due to his size. I brought up Antonio Brown because they are the exact same size and Brown has been able to handle the punishment in the league despite being on the smaller side. I didn't realize we were even discussing college production or any sort of other comparisons outside of size alone since you expressed a concern about his durability.
  9. What does any of that have to do with his size and whether or not he can hold up in the NFL?
  10. Makes sense. Cooks has him crushed in the production department but like you said, stats aren't everything and don't tell the whole story. Dorsett had a true freshman playing QB while Cooks had a future NFL draft pick in Mannion I believe. Also, Miami's offense seemed to go through Duke Johnson more than anything. Not sure what the Oregon State offense looked like with Cooks but I'd have to think he was the focal point of that group his last year. I think Dorsett is pretty similar in ability and skill set even though he may not have been asked to be the jack of all trades receiver there. They primarily had him stretching the field but I've watched 6 games of his and he looks like he can do it all.
