This team is going nowhere until it can stop the run with any sort of consistency. Sick and tired of getting gashed every single week. Graham next to Brown could be an elite duo for years to come in the middle of our defense. I hear the argument for Hunter or Tet loud and clear, but the run defense is the single biggest hindrance to success for this team right now.

Body catcher, leaves his feet unnecessarily… he’s had some bright spots but lots of work to do to become a polished, consistent receiver in this league.

Nick Scott is absolutely brutal.

Ian Thomas is horrendous in all facets of football. Leave him in DC.

Had a pretty bad injury if I remember correctly but was always impressed with his speed rush. That pass rush needs all the help it can get. Glad he’s back and getting another opportunity to have an impact.

Again, outside of Horn right now, I don’t think there’s another player on this defense currently that would start on the majority of teams in this league. The defensive line is particularly brutal without Brown, as is the safety room. A coach can’t make guys win their 1 on 1s, and can’t tackle for them. This unit was always going to struggle when we made the decision to let Luvu walk, traded Burns and dumped money into the offense which had to happen.

At the Wide Receiver position. Kelvin’s hands were inconsistent. Couldn’t be Funchess. Mingo and Legette appear to be consistent body-catchers that unnecessarily leave their feet too often. It might be past time we reevaluate how we prioritize traits in our receiver scouting. Outside of Adam I don’t think there is a natural catcher of the ball on this roster. Diontae probably the next closest but we did not draft either. DJ had probably the most reliable hands but we shipped him off anyways. Just frustrated watching early round draft picks at receiver drop routine passes is crucial situations.

Personnel on the defense is probably the weakest league wide. He can only work with what he’s given. After the Brown injury this season was a wrap defensively. Offense was prioritized in free agency as it should have been, and this is the result.

Xavier needs to learn to catch with his hands. Dude is body catching and or body dropping every ball.
