  1. Great show! I looked forward to it every week. I'd usually just stay up on Thursday night and watch it at midnight, haha. The train scene was wild. I'm betting Seth Rogen's character and Mark team up next season. I know there's a comic book/graphic novel this is all based on. I wonder how close they'll stick to it.
  2. I remember an interview/tv excerpt that talked about how the Vikings had a handler for Cris Carter that basically followed him around and scared off dealers, sycophants, etc.. That’s crazy to consider, but it was good for him and for the team. Pro sports/media/fans expect so much out of these guys who are just regular humans with extraordinary athletic talent. Lots of other types of celebrities have handlers/minders. I can’t imagine that NFL teams wouldn’t also employ them.
  3. I'm glad we invested a late round pick to get the best collegiate long snapper. I get why everyone is joking about it, but it's just due to their outmoded thinking. We need to hit a homerun on JJ Jansen's replacement. We've been spoiled for over a decade, and long snapper isn't something you can just sign a guy off the street for if you want anywhere near the continuity/performance we've enjoyed.
  4. Why would anyone give even a hammered piece of dogshit what Mel Kiper thinks? He's literally NEVER right about anything in the draft. He even screws up the top 5 most years.
  5. Horn is a brash, loudmouth like his father, who usually delivers on what he says, like his father. I would imagine besides competing against the best WRs in the league, he's competing(in a good way) with his father's legacy in the NFL. I would bet they have a fun rivalry at home. I think we're going to see great things out of Horn sooner than later.
  6. You worked with the guy that Jon Beason cold cocked? That's the same move that guy used to use.
  7. Every time we traded down, and still got someone we wanted, we got them for cheaper than we would have with our original pick. We’re going to have to sign all of these picks before they can make the roster, so getting them later saves us plenty of money. I’m sure we’re not done in FA as some other teams upgraded at our positions of need and every little bit of cap space helps to fill the remaining holes.
  8. They clearly want guys that have physical traits, who want to get better and will do the work to get better. This guy certainly checks those boxes. Will look forward to see what the coaching staff can help him become.
  9. This. Surtain and Farley had a much bigger sample size because teams weren’t as afraid to throw at them. They’re both really good, but I want the guy that makes the OC and QB look for other options. I believe we got that.
  10. I love it. Rhule and Fitterer are betting on themselves as much as on these players. The cons these picks bring in with them are coachable problems. Rhule believes he’s put a staff together that can make theses guys better, and that’s all any of them are really lacking. If he’s wrong, we’ve got a roster full of unrealized potential, but if he’s right(and he should believe he is) Oooooh Weeee Mayne! We’re going to be GOOD.
  11. Joe Horn was/maybe is a dick, but he was a great WR and a problem for the Panthers for years. Jaycee is going to infuse some attitude into our secondary that’s been missing since Josh Norman left. It gives me great satisfaction that his son is playing for the home team, and that he’ll have to start wearing our colors on Sunday.
  12. Love this strategy. They’re drafting superior athletes who are coachable a round or two later than comparable talent, which means we sign them for cheap. Everyone wondering how we are going to fill out the holes in our roster with our cap limitations... this is how you do it. There will be some misses, sure, but I feel optimistic based on seeing what Rhule and Co. did with the roster last year.
  13. Come on, Jeremy! Don’t do poo like this. The children are already whipped up into enough of a frenzy as it is.
  14. God, you’re a whiny baby. Whose alt are you? Cornerback WAS a massive need, and they filled it with arguably the best CB in this draft. Some of you have deluded yourselves into believing that you have some type of actual talent at player evaluation. You don’t.
  15. LOL! What a dumb, impatient take! It’s their first year together.
  16. Based on the posters upset by this pick, I think it’s fantastic.
  17. I get that everyone has their preferred player pick, but there's got to be something to Mac Jones if Nat likes him, Kyle Shanahan likes him, Rhule likes him AND got to spend time with him at the Sr. Bowl, etc., etc.. Jones wouldn't be my first choice, I want Sewell, but I'd still be stoked about the pick. If Rhule and Fitterer feel like Mac Jones is the pick after all the evaluation they've done, then LFG. Either way, I expect our draft to be strong, to be graded poorly by the pundits, and then glowingly when they do their '2021 Re-Draft' articles in 2022, lol.
  18. These guys are highly paid guessers and gossip columnists. No one knows what Tepper wants outside of the Panthers FO. To pretend like anyone does is silly. And Tepper was a minority owner in the Steelers. He was also part of a breakaway contingent that wanted to replace Mike Tomlin, so it's not like he's exactly in lock-step with 'the Steeler Way.' That was more Jerruh's thing. Jesusfug, I wish the draft would get here already so you guys could start beating some different dead horses.
  19. If I remember correctly, Rodgers slid because he was a Tedford QB. He was the first one to really produce in the NFL. I guess Fields could be in a similar situation, as there haven't been any OSU QBs to really do anything meaningful in the NFL in awhile, with the last one flopping big time.
