Brown and Gross-Matos sack. This is really cool.
Panther'sBigD replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
What a beautiful tackle! He doesn’t elevate/slam him, just wraps him up and takes him to the turf. I can’t imagine being taken down at game speed by Brown AND YGM! Really impressed with Wilson’s composure. Hopefully Saleh takes better care of his QB than Rivera did. Wilson will be a talent if he survives the season. -
Shaq Thompson deserves some love

The number thing is so strange to me, but speaks to how important mindset is at that elite athlete level. Seemingly insignificant things can be the thing that pushes a player from good to great. Waiting to change to 7 out of respect for Grier makes more sense than pure gamesmanship on a rookie QB/HC. It was cool of him to wait. -
What is it with all of these stupid ass threads nitpicking guys like Burns, who was on fire yesterday?!? We won, but it was closer than it should have been, and some issues became more glaring. I would rather have a win like this going into the 2nd game, than a blowout against the Jets where the team goes into the 2nd game cocky and then gets smacked in the mouth. Stop creating threads like this. It’s not a fresh take, it’s not edgy. It’s some ‘2/10 would not bang’ level neckbeard garbage. Stop it; get help.

Cowboys at Bucs - NFL opener GameDay thread

As always, I will be cheering for a meteorite to hit the stadium during the first quarter. -
The only PAM 2-Pack I'm interested in is Pam Hensley and Pam Grier.

There were idiots in South Charlotte buying up cases of water last night. We're hundreds of miles from teh coast. There's zero chance we have any issues accessing clean water(not counting Duke and Colonial's pollution naturally). People are so goddamn dumb. If you need gas, buy gas, otherwise just wait. All of these idiots topping off are the problem.

I liked elements of Black Widow, I just wish the writers were better at working 'girl power' into a great script rather than making the whole movie ooze with cheese and smacking viewers over the head with the whole 'girls can do it!' stuff. Reminded me of Kenan's mailman character in Don't Be A Menace:

This is a good deal. The same people saying he didn't want to be here are the ones who have now pivoted to "Now DJ is as good as gone!" and were the same ones complaining about DJ's lack of TDs all during last season and hoping out loud that we didn't extend him for something crazy. LOL. Side note: If I didn't already know that Harbingers is the failson of a corrupt union executive, I would have sworn he was that cop who Robbie told "I'm gonna fug your wife and nut in her eye." Legend.

Agreed. I thought about this when everyone started lamenting how badly Horn has been getting beaten in one on ones. I would imagine that we're not the only ones that noticed how handsy Horn has been with receivers during camp. The shared practice with the Colts would seem to be the perfect opportunity for his coaches to have him figure out where the line is between too much and not enough and dial in on an acceptable level of coverage. He's probably going to continue to lose one on ones until he figures that out.

What's familiar about a QB giving high-fives to fans? Most QBs do that.

Panthers Training Camp - Tuesday Camp Thread
Panther'sBigD replied to Zod's topic in Carolina Panthers
That was such a heartbreaking loss. Especially for Smitty, especially after his performance against the Bears. My favorite player/reporter exchange is still Brian Urlacher, when the reporter asked him what happened to their all world defense in that game and he responded: "Steve Smith." -
Panthers Training Camp - Tuesday Camp Thread

This. Reminds me of Smitty returning for a TD in the Seahawks playoff game where Nick Goings was our starting RB. -
If Sewell had been there at our pick, we'd be talking about needing a big shutdown corner right now. I would rather get by with LT by committee and have Brady scheme around that for one season than to force our elite RT into a position where he'll be just okay. Make LT the priority this coming offseason. I still think we'll be pretty good this year, but we're still a year or two off from being a perennial contender, and that's okay with me. I'd rather be good for the long haul, and I think the way they're drafting and managing our FAs, we will be.

Her dad was an NBA player, and she was apparently the 4th pick in the WNBA draft at some point in the past.

I think Lady Loki is Enchantress and she has in fact enchanted Loki into falling in love with her. What better way to get a narcissist like Loki to finally fall in love with someone than to offer up a female version of himself? I think the motivations they've given her in this series are what ultimately drive her to choose revenge/chaos over love with Loki. Remember how she only had a short pause when he was 'pruned' last episode and was composed enough not to kill Ravonna, instead sparing her for interrogation? You don't react that way if the one person you love most in the universe has just been murdered. I think they finally destroy/overtake whoever(not Kang) is in the castle, and she's successful in creating the multiverse, which will set up the Dr. Strange and Spiderman movies coming out in the next 12 months. When I was a kid, I always thought it would be great for my favorite comic book characters to be in good movies and have lots of great crossovers like they do in the actual comic books, but this Disney brand corporate synergy is fuging exhausting.

Fishermen, support NC HB513 to ban saltwater gill netting
Panther'sBigD replied to Whatev's topic in Huddle Lounge
I'm in my 40s and in the 80s and even early 90s, on our summer vacation, we would buy our vegetables on the way down to the beach at roadside stands and then catch most of our fish out of the surf to eat for the week, supplementing with fresh shrimp. I started noticing a sharp drop in our catch the mid-90s. Surf fishing used to be the highlight of our trips, now you're lucky to catch more than a couple. Such a bummer. -
I miss Phat Burrito way more TBH.

He owns/inherited the land from his father. It's currently valued at 1.7MM. That building hasn't been measurably improved since his father died, so while he'll pay out the ass in taxes, he'll still probably clear a million bucks. There are three parcels he owns in that small area, and together they're valued at 1.667MM or something like that.

I've lived here my entire life and only had it a few times. It's just fried chicken. The guy is cashing in on insane real estate values and can now retire with at least a million dollars in profit off the sale. Just go up to the 76 station one block away if you want great fried chicken. Forgot to mention, the whining in their post about labor/coin shortage and food quality could all be solved easily. Accepting credit cards would increase revenue by 30%-50% in the first year, which would allow them to pay competitive wages to get employees and afford higher quality chicken. This guy is cashing out and trying to make it sound like he was forced out rather than admit he's going to make a killing selling the property.

As seen on Marketwatch.... (I have questions)
Panther'sBigD replied to PanthersATL's topic in Huddle Lounge
There's an entire subreddit of creepy age difference relationships. 48 and 22 feels a bit like grooming to me. I mean, sure, you could argue that 22 is an adult, but how many 22 year olds have the life experience to connect with a 48 year old on anything more than a physical level? -
It sounds like DJ has bought into Rhule and Snow's 'process.' That's 180 degree change from those Hard Knocks clips where he basically blew off the entire secondary group's counsel. Super excited to see what he can do with better focus and consistency. He really is one of our most exciting players.

Tepper says "no way in hell" he'll build a dome
Panther'sBigD replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why are so many of you goobers up in arms about it being taxpayer funded? Most of you don't even live here, so you're not paying for poo. It'll increase my property value even further, so I say bring it on. -
It was great. Dylan Hinchey's parents did a terrible job raising him. What a little shitstain.
