The woman hit on S. Blvd was a server at Mac's. She was hit by a drunk driver that went up onto the sidewalk IIRC. Not in front of Mac's, but up the street a bit. I think she was walking to or from her car. The front door of Ed's Tavern is only about 15-20 feet from the street. I seem to remember that there was a drunk guy being a creep and a protective friend or boyfriend got a little too enthusiastic and chased the guy out of the bar and then shoved him off the curb. I'm still surprised that someone hit him, as that's not a super high traffic area at that time of night, and it's right at a 4 way stop light.

Dude, you're not the gatekeeper of who gets to be a fan or how they experience gameday. I understand the heart of this issue, and the heart of this issue is that you made this all up, and are mad that not everyone is going along with it for some reason. No one took away any free access and gave it to a bunch of rich assholes. That's a false narrative that you're perpetuating because you 'feel' like it 'could be' true. The reality is that there are multiple ways to enjoy gameday and currently they're not infringing on each other, and there's currently no proof that they will beyond some clever marketing by Roaring Riot and a bunch of empty assumptions by you and several others. Corporations and well off people bought the majority of PSLs which sealed the deal on getting us the team in the first place. It also means that every game is a sellout, which means no blackout games, so 'average fans' can watch at home without having to pay for a satellite package. There's plenty to not like about Tepper. If you want to stand at the fences with your kids and watch the players come in, you still can. If you'd rather watch from under a tent, with food and drinks, without having to jockey for a good spot with everyone else, that'll cost you three fiddy. I think we get to the playoffs, but don't have the depth to make it deep into the playoffs. I think that will be enough to warrant keeping the staff intact, which will trigger the usual suspects to start throwing their feces like chimps at the zoo.

What access are they actually taking away that was free before? Sounds like they are just trying to make the experience fancier for people who are willing to cough up that dough. If they cut off access that's always been there, then by all means, give them hell, but if someone wants to pay $350 per person for overpriced concessions and special bathroom access, let them. Even SCP is just hazarding a guess as to whether they'll lock down any access at this point. Most of the stuff that people get worked up into a lather about on these boards never even materializes anyway.

I hope whoever was wronged gets justice, but this entire situation seems off. The police coaching her through phone calls, publicizing the fact that he has an STD, etc.. If they've got one of the rapists on tape admitting to the rape, why isn't it a criminal trial? The lawyer is in Southern California, so having adult industry clients isn't strange, but he does seem very unprofessional. The detail about her leaving the room missing all of her piercings, mentioning three different pierced areas specifically. It's just a very odd detail to include, and an odd thing for a bunch of date rapists to do in the middle of a crime like that; sounds like a fuging serial killer move.

Having friends you can count on in a scrap, or having friends that others fear is different than having a friend that uses their gun during a fistfight. And disconnecting from people like that is almost an impossibility.

Hard to tell because it's such a grainy video, but it doesn't look like he's standing over him. He looks like he's doing that high stepping/stomping celebration after making a big hit. He's not even facing Wilkerson when he does it. And how is it a dirty hit? OR at least how can you tell from such shitty footage?

I don't recall TSE being the party to default or extend its timetable out YEARS from the original deadline in either the Fort Mill or Eastland projects. It would be great if Tepper, because he's one of the wealthiest SOBs on the planet, would just fund these projects out of his own pockets, and out of the goodness of his heart, but we should all know by now that's not how things work.
