  1. Still a great game and one Wilks can build off of. They played super sloppy and still took it to the end of overtime against the only other competitive team in our division at their house. PJ threw an INT and then made a bunch of great throws to keep us in the game. DJ had a huge drop and then made an almost game sealing TD. Sucks for Eddy, but he is a kicker who was on the couch when the season started. Refs did us no favors and we kept competing until the very end.
  2. Lots of angry, divorced dad energy in here right now.
  3. I want us to win, but either way, it was a great game. Cardiac Cat level anxiety.
  4. CJ! Just when I think you couldn’t be any dumber…you totally redeem yourself!
  5. Wtf was Luvu doing there?! He’s better than that!
  6. He’s a third stringer. Even the best QBs throw pick sixes. They responded by moving the ball right down the field their first drive in the 3rd. He’s doing fine for what he is. We’re still in it, which I never felt comfortable saying w Baker or Sam at the helm.
  7. Interesting...I remember hearing rumors that he got into some trouble in Cleveland because of that...
  8. I think so. Not sure what happened to him legally, but he went on TV and apologized out of character.
  9. He's a heel, that's his job. He's also the guy who goose stepped and gave Nazi salutes during a match in Germany, so this was pretty tame/lame.
  10. From a business and a taxpayer perspective, I think the artificial turf absolutely makes sense, especially given our current stadium and its footprint. As a football(both kinds) fan, I want what's safest for the players, and if that's natural grass, then that's what they should have. Several of the newer stadiums like the Cardinals' and Raiders' stadiums have the moveable tray grass turf. That'd be great for BofA except for the small detail of having nowhere outside of the stadium to put it currently. I would imagine that during the assessment of the current structure and the cost estimations for upfitting/upgrades, they would have at least figured out what it would take financially and structurally to install a rollout field. It might not be structurally possible to refit the current stadium.
  11. George Shinn was born in KANNAPOLIS, NORTH CAROLINA, but that didn't stop him from packing up shop and heading to New Orleans. Local connection doesn't mean poo when you can afford to live anywhere and probably have homes all over the world.
  12. Same thing going on in this thread as in all of the Tepper Sucks! threads. Participation does not equate to any level of actual ownership in a message board or a sports franchise. We all love the Huddle, but Jeremy owns it. He can do whatever he wants with it. Except sell it to Charlottenian.
  13. I feel better after reading that article. Rhule is gone, Fitterer had one majorly bad decision and will have more say in how things go moving forward. Tepper is already showing that he's learning from his mistakes by voicing that he's open to a more even distribution of power between HC and GM, and it's clear he wants to win. I get that fan is short for fanatic, and a lot of you are fanatical in your belief that you could do a better job and that Tepper should have known how to be a team owner on day one, but three years is not long at all in the life of an NFL franchise, and we're already starting to see changes. Keep talking your poo though, since it's evident that Tepper lurks or at least has keyword searches going on social media. Maybe you'll fug around and get hired as a consultant.
  14. Nothing to see there. Just one friend, helping another. That could never be abused, never in a million years. What a joke.
  15. Whether you're a HC with a defensive background, or an offensive background, you're going to need good to great coordinators in all three phases to really compete. Good to great coordinators are always going to eventually leave for bigger opportunities. If you're a great HC, you figure out how to spot coaching talent, promote it in house and replace it when necessary. I would rather have an HC that's good at that than a great offensive or defensive background. Know how to game plan, know how to manage the clock and know how to get the best out of each and every one of your players and coaches, even when that means sending them somewhere else, like Anderson. We'll see what happens with Wilks, but the fact that he's got a defensive background shouldn't be counted as a strike against him.
  16. I remember sitting in the 500 section, watching John Fox trot out Randy Fasani because everyone else was hurt, and then watching as the Bucs ran up the score on us and then leave our field laughing and celebrating. I told myself, 'feeling this shitty right now is going to make me appreciate it even more when we start winning.' The next season, Jake came in for Rodney Peete and we were off to a Super Bowl. You just never know how things will go. I would rather they always play to win. Being high in the draft order is always the consolation prize, never the goal.
  17. Why would you trade an ascending pass rusher who WANTS to be on this team?
  18. Why are the some of the same people shitting on Rhule for tinkering with players to their detriment(TMJ, Bozeman, Baker), also ripping Corral for looking like ass in preseason?! He deserves to at least show what he can do after an offseason under an actual NFL coach to show whether he belongs in the NFL or not.
  19. When is the last time we got a decent haul for any of our star players who were aging out or on a bad team staring down a rebuild? I can't remember anything significant. I feel encouraged that Fitterer is out there making things happen, and that Tepper has given him the freedom to do so. I'm happy for CMC. I don't think he's going to pull a Matt Stafford and win a SB with SF, but he'll be near his family and friends, and he'll be on a team that's competitive during his remaining prime years. I hope he breaks all kinds of records NEXT season, AFTER we've spent their 2023 draft picks.
  20. Uh, that's two of the last three drafts, and we didn't have a 2nd rounder in 2022. I'd say 2/2 isn't that bad.
