He is/was a rehabilitation project. You don't rehabilitate someone by plucking them out of a bad situation and then dropping them into an almost identical situation. A rehabilitation probably had more of a shot if Sam had been able to hold a clipboard for a season or two, and not be thrown right back into the fire. It's obvious a lot of his problems are mental, and he needs more work on his mechanics/footwork. Those are things you don't want to fix in-game, during the season as a starting QB. In his current state, he's not a starting QB nor is he backup quality. I hope the coaching staff can salvage him as a backup. Stranger things have happened.

So who do you want as the new coach?

You guys sound like spoiled children. Hell Charlottenian, your ex gave you more of a chance than this before she dumped you. Rhule's not going anywhere; at least not this season. -
Keep Pounding is gone Panther fans!

LMAO. Why the fug would I care what that rich dork thinks? I just think you guys are pathetic with your incessant whining Tepper, 'wine and cheese' fans, not having someone to lead your cheers for you, opposing fans 'taking over' the stadium. It's like your manhood is tied directly to your fanhood. You need to compartmentalize or you're going to have a bad time. -
Dude, this is an appaloosa model:

Will Charlotte ever have a parade?
Panther'sBigD replied to slumdogmillionaire's topic in Carolina Panthers
I think it's waaaaay premature to count the Panthers out for the foreseeable future. The NFL and the NBA are very different, but I like that both of our local franchises are focusing on youth, speed and building from within. The theme of 'playing for each other' seems to have really set in with both teams. I think everyone who has bashed Rhule and Co. for not building an offensive line are ignoring the fact that our defense has become dominant in two seasons. That has come from an outsized focus on the defensive side of the ball, and at the expense of the offensive side. I believe that Fitterer and Rhule are going to start closing that gap this offseason, and I foresee a similar result to what they've done on defense. We will get there, sooner than later, but definitely not soon enough for some of the impatient, unrealistic fans on this board. So yeah, SDM, I think you'll get your parade, and it'll go right by your bar. Also, I think if Tepper is able to pull off a new soccer team and building a new football stadium downtown, he'll pivot to getting an MLB team here next. Would be interesting to see if Tampa Bay is still in play when that happens. -
Patriots suck right now. Not worried about them. Run the ball, get turnovers, profit.

What a silly thing to care about, lol.

Erving's "effort" on the play that got Sam hurt
Panther'sBigD replied to trueblade's topic in Carolina Panthers
If Paradis engages 54 initially, he wouldn't have been in a position to run past Erving for that bone crushing tackle. I put this on Paradis; he's the first one to stand there and just watch the guy run to the ball. Bring on Tyler Linderbaum. -
Then it's a shame he's going to DC.

Brady definitely seems to be learning on the job, and finding that his schemes are a lot tougher to pull off when he doesn't have that LSU bench going against college competition. We've got some really good skill players, but so does everyone else in the NFL. I think he will adapt, but the growing pains are going to be particularly painful.

Looking at the big picture, building a team question
Panther'sBigD replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
LOL. Uh, Alex Smith was a reclamation project too, similar to Darnold. They also had a great defense and Jamaal fuging Charles his first two years. They were actually set up a lot like the Panthers are now. Stop pretending like anyone knew that Alex Smith wasn’t going to be a flop again. They’re lucky he ended up being a decent placeholder until they found Mahomes. -

I think this is the most plausible scenario as well. The Chiefs had success building this way. Hopefully we will too. -

You can always tell someone who’s never been blindside tackled by a professional athlete. You’re the ones getting a ‘woody.’ -

We need a legit TE1. And no, Arnold wasn’t it either. -
Genuinely wondering about the fairness of the refs today.

Easy there, Pepe Sylvia… -
You kneckbeards and your awful takes. Most likely depression/self loathing that causes you to criticize players in such ridiculous, hyperbolic fashion. Get a life or get some help.

This “analytics” conditioning is garbage
Panther'sBigD replied to The Question's topic in Carolina Panthers
Injuries accumulate over time with repeated stress, like contact plays. Despite a player going out on one specific play, the injury often has been building up to the point where it will cause failure. So thanks for again illustrating that you have no idea what you're talking about! -

The same people that bitch about injuries keeping players out, also tend to bitch about the focus on player safety making football 'too soft.' -
People just gloss over that he basically got away with rape at FL State because he won them a championship. Somehow focusing on the fact that he's a literal moron is just easier for most fans. Glad we didn't sign him or Watson.
