  1. Bruce Arians has always been a champion of minority coaches. Skip Bayless is a whole bitch for implying it was Arians vs. Brady. I hate that he helped Tampa win a SB, but he seems like a legitimately good dude, and giving Todd Bowles a shot in this way is pretty damn cool when you look at the nonsense other minority coaching candidates are up against.
  2. We've got cap room now, despite the terrible move to pick up Sam's 5th year option. It appears that we now have people in the building that can manipulate the cap year to year, better than the old regimes. Now we just need a coach.
  3. Why do grown, college educated men have such trouble with the difference between CHOOSE and CHOSE?!?! "Kyler remains hopeful that the organization CHOSES..."
  4. Everyone keeps saying that, but what's actually happened so far says otherwise.
  5. You're right, they're nothing alike. Armanti Edwards beat Michigan.
  6. People seem to forget how soundly Edwards and App State dominated lower tier competition. Shows you how QB crazy the league and fandoms have become that we're entertaining the possibility of drafting an extremely raw athlete at the top of the first round.
  7. Some of y'all are getting all excited about drafting Armanti Edwards 2.0 in the top of the first round.
  8. Considering how different free agency feels this year, with Fitterer and Morgan obviously in charge, I have a tough time believing the two of them will reach for a QB when they can trade down and get one of them. I think they'll trade down and get one with a lower first rounder. I'd prefer we ignore QB altogether, let Rhule sink or swim with Darnold and let the next coach draft a QB.
  9. Andrew Whitworth is 40 and just won a Super Bowl. We could have signed him when we went all in on Matt Khalil all those years ago.
  10. It's one of the only scenarios in which we aren't absolutely doomed as a franchise for the foreseeable future. If Tepper allows Rhule to throw away more draft capital and possibly starting players to get a mediocre QB that he thinks will save his ass, then we are truly fuged. If it becomes evident that Tepper has truly reigned in Rhule, and Fitterer and Morgan are allowed to manage the draft, and come away with a few starters and no huge desperation picks, then I will be excited for the post-Rhule future.
  11. It's what I wanted from the start. It's the toughest option to get excited about/endure, but it gives us the outcome everyone seems to want: Offensive line overhaul, High 2023 first round pick and Rhule fired at some point during the season.
  12. Watson is probably going to the Saints. Dude is going to have to retire early after getting Hep C at a massage parlor on a riverboat casino.
  13. Trade down if we can, get a lower first and maybe a second and third from some team with multiples, and rebuild our offensive line with MFing studs, maybe get a starting LB. I trust Fitterer and Morgan have done their due diligence and are planning past Rhule's tenure with their selections.
  14. True. But here's the key difference: You cared(not much, sure) enough about my complaint to respond to it. Tepper doesn't know you or I exist. He's not going to post a mea culpa and promise to do things the way you want him to.
  15. This place used to feel like good seats at a Panthers game, where you could talk/complain about the team with like minded fans, and poo talk with opposing ones without any fistfights. Lately it feels like the game where you get stuck in front of some sunburnt hick who won't stop screaming about how terrible the team is and how he's never coming to another game. I remember higher spirits when fuging Randy Fasani was our starting QB for like 5 seconds. The immediate and constant gratification crowd has taken this place over and is taking huge shits everywhere.
  16. Who would have thought people would be handling the siege of Ukraine better than not getting a football player they wanted?!
  17. This is a game. We're fans of a team that plays a game. It's supposed to be fun. poo talking your team/staff because they're not performing is one thing, but this place has become Doom-posting Central, where grown men write open letters to the owner like some kind of angry child, and others pretend like this is worse than the year Richardson tanked the team to punish the Players Union.
  18. I hope you guys get this all out on this message board...that this is cathartic for you, and you don't live your lives this way out in the real world. The level of hysteria over being a mediocre team right now is ridiculous.
  19. Back to the topic: I couldn't care less if Watson gets to pick the coach. At least it'd be someone with actual NFL experience doing the choosing rather than Tepper. The NFL is entertainment for me, and I'll be entertained no matter which way this thing goes.
  20. I'm just happy that you think that meme took me time to come up with. And I don't smell any urine/cigarette smoke soaked upholstery, so your condo must be in someone else's simple skull.
  21. We both know he's doing it for the clicks.
