Twitter is also useful if you are having problems with a company. Blow them up on twitter, they respond and reach out to fix the problem. I run an apartment complex, and I just happened to completely randomly see an A's player wife looking for a home in the Bay Area. Reached out to offer services. Social media is the future. Either get on board, or have fun keeping those damn kids off your lawn.

@thejasonirwin I used to think twitter was stupid, but from business aspect and just a sports fan aspect, it's awesome. Following actors and celebrities to get updates on them brushing their teeth? Stupid. Wanting to know when trades, transactions and arrests happen? Twitter.
