  1. I agree with your take on Malik Wilson. With good NFL coaching he will learn to override the big-play mentality he presently has. Willis possesses borderline-ideal traits for a modern day, dual-threat NFL quarterback. He has the potential to be a game-changer at the next level, given time.
  2. It is a sure "Death Toll" when the National Media starts to circle a coach like a bunch of vultures. Goodbye Rhule, thankfully, we hardly got to know you.
  3. Here is an intersting article by Darin Gantt: https://www.panthers.com/news/ask-the-old-guy-happy-holidays-2022-future-fans-answering-fans
  4. I think Rhule started Cam last week in what will probably be his last home game as a Carolina Panther to do him a favor and appease the fans.
  5. The Panthers are collapsing behind an offensive line that has allowed the third-highest pressure rate in the league (32.7%), per Next Gen Stats. and a QB position that leaves a lot to be desired. Add these two needs together, plus all the Panthers other needs, would make it beneficial for them to lose to New Orleans and Tampa Bay in the seasons last two meaningless games. I will be rooting for the Panthers to play good these last two games to show hope for next year but logically i want them to lose out to enhance their draft position, which would be a win in itself.
  6. Pro Football Focus projects three offensive linemen and two quarterbacks drafted inside the top 10 of their latest mock draft. Tackles Evan Neal (Alabama) and Charles Cross (Mississippi State) are the top blindside protectors in the 2022 class while Iowa’s Tyler Linderbaum is considered one of the best center prospects of all time. Alabama offensive tackle Evan Neal (73) is one of the top-rated linemen in the 2022 NFL draft class. Experts project a much weaker quarterback class than a year ago. Kenny Pickett (Pittsburgh) and Matt Corral (Ole Miss) are the first two signal-callers off PFF’s board. But without first solidifying the offensive line with sound investments, the Panthers risk ruining Pickett or Corral behind inadequate protection.
  7. Predicting (guessing) the 2022 draft for the Panthers is hard because they have no 2nd or 3rd rd pick and lots of holes to fill. However we know the most need is at Ol,QB,Linebacker and saftey. How all this plays out will be interesting and have a huge impact going forward. What the Panthers in free agency and the luck they have there could play a big role in their draft and determine how and who they select.
  8. I don't think there will be much player value in rounds 6 or 7 but at least the Panthers got a little something for Perryman and Little.
  9. You make a valid point but most of his injuries have not come from direct contact with other players but happened when he was running by himself. I stand to be corrected but that is why i think his history of injuries will continue, no matter what positions he plays.
  10. It pains me to say this but i don't believe the inept Hurney as bad as he was, would have gotten the Panthers in a mess like they are presently in.
  11. This might not be a popular suggestion with some fans but if the Panthers could find a willing team they should trade Christian McCaffrey for a 2nd and 4th rd pick. I realize this may be hard to do considering his high salary and injury history but the Panthers will never know who might be willing to trade unless they put out some feelers.
  12. Rhule threw caution to the wind because he wanted to look good quickly, no matter what the cost would be for the Panthers long term, then jump back into the college ranks to obtain a plush, high paying head coaching job. My guess is he did this because deep down he knew he wasn't cut out to be an NFL head coach.
  13. R.I.P. John Madden. His passing gives me a deep feeling of sadness. Madden to me represented what football is all about. He was a living legend as a coach, announcer and all round football commentator. Plus, he had a great love of the sport, its players and fans. He will truly be missed.
  14. I still get ill thinking about the kind of set back last years Washington win cost. I hope the fans that wanted to win that meaningless game to create a "winning culture" see that their thinking was all wrong, considering how much it cost the Panthers in the long run.
  15. If Matt Rhule is not the most disliked person in the Panthers history, he is ranking right up near the top and getting closer to being #1 with each loss and bonehead decision he makes. The Panthers are staring down the barrel of yet another losing season and nothing seems to be changing. If Rhule is having doubts about his own job security, there will never be a better time to walk away and save face than seasons end, providing there is interest. There aren’t many college coaches throughout history that made a successful transition to the next level when given the opportunity. Coaching methods with kids learning their craft is one thing, but that doesn’t fly with established veterans who’ve seen it all before. All of us loyal fans are growing increasingly frustrated with the product and the direction this team is heading. Judging by their current faith in Rhule, there wouldn’t be many tears shed if his leaving by choice or firing eventuality came to fruition.
  16. You hear the arguments all the time. People who believe that the best college team in the country could take on the worst NFL team and win. I think this reasoning is absurd. Absolutely ridiculous. Not only would the Panthers team win, but they would win by 20 or 30 more points. They would most likely have a shutout and would probably come close to 400 yards of total offense. Here's why: Every single college football team, no matter how good this team is, has a weakness at some position. It's probably not going to be at any of the skill positions, like quarterback, running back, or wide receiver. It's probably going to be one of the lineman or maybe a defensive back. But one of the players on the college team is going to be a big weakness. The transition from college to the NFL is not an easy step. Fantastic players in college don't just become superstars in the NFL. Many struggle to even perform as average players.. .Every man on the Panthers roster has played college football before. Every man on their roster could go back to the game of college football and dominate. They could probably set records. An NFL team is comprised of the best of the best in college football. The top college players go on to the National Football League. The rest live a normal life, with a normal job. Players in the NFL are too good and have too much experience to lose to 20 and 21-year-olds. NFL scrubs were the best of the best in college. NFL starters were unbelievable players in college. NFL superstars were usually among the greatest players in college football history. Your average starting lineman for a No. 1 college team will not even make the NFL. If he does, he probably won't be a productive starter. If the college guys had a chance anywhere, it would be at the skill positions. But seriously? Does any NFL player come into the league and make an immediate impact? A few do. A very few do. But the majority of players will sit on the bench for a year or two before being thrust into the game. They're just not ready, physically and mentally. The linemen would be completely dominated. Many would sustain injuries during the game as well. The receivers would be physically dominated as well, especially going across the middle for passes. The running backs would struggle running up the middle, and the quarterback would be physically battered. The NFL team is so physically dominant that you could take the 22 best college players in the nation and I do not believe that they would emerge victorious. Not a chance.
  17. Sad but true. Now he is in Washington and probably helping fug them up with his brainless acts.
  18. I hope the report that Rhule will be gone is true, which would be a good thing. However, I am not counting on it and getting my hopes up because the Panthers have a current history of doing the opposite of what would be good for the team going forward.
  19. I will personally not boo anyone connected with the Panthers but being a fellow diehard Panthers Fan, i can understand where others probably boo to vent flustrations because they are also diehard Panthers fans and the product that's been put on the field the last several years flustrates all of us.
  20. I had no idea Rhule did that sneaky act after Tepper offered him one whale of a deal. Fug him,it will be one happy day when i see his azz leave Charlotte N.C, just hope it is sooner rather than later..
  21. Hmmmm! Now that we have learned that meatballs are Teppers weakness and possible Achilles Heel, maybe we can keep him stuffed with them, allowing us to show him how a football team should be built because it's obvious to one and all the present plan is not working.
  22. The Panthers don't have to attempt to tank, all they have to do is show up the next two remaining games to be assured of closing the season with two final losses.
  23. If Rhules plan is working, it has to be one of the best kept secrets in modern history.
