The Panthers have a good current OL penciled in and will only get better once Ickey Ekwonu gets some playing time gaining him some experience. This is the most excited i have been about the OL at the start of a season in many years.

I really wanted former New Orleans Saints free agent safety Marcus Williams but he has agreed to a five-year, $70 million deal with the Baltimore Ravens. I suppose his high price tag was more than the Panthers were willing to pay.

Especially when lots of pro scouts had him graded as a 4th or 5th rd. pick.

Why would i care what some amateur Mel Kiper want to be writes in an opinion write up about our new quarterback Matt Corral. I listen to NFL Scouts and former NFL Quarterbacks that many called Corral the best pure passer in the 2022 NFL Draft class and had the most solid upside at the next level after he did an excellent job leading his team to a very successful season in the SEC in 2021.

We had what i feel was a very good draft considering we went into it minus our #2 and #3 draft choice.

He looks like a stout, well built "Hog Molly" to me. The kind we need as a present OL backup and future starter at one of the OL positions..

One look at him is all it takes to realize he likes to eat.

I am more than pleased with the way the 2022 NFL Draft has gone. We got the drafts best OT Ikem Ekwonu and now we have obtained Corral, a QB that a lot of draft forecasters had a first round rating on. Two of our needs were filled and it only cost this years fourth and next years third draft choices, moves i can easy live with.

Don't kid yourself, Baker Mayfield is a pro and he will gladly go to any team that pays his salary.

I am just saying this off the top of my head but it would not surprise me if we traded WR Robbie Anderson for a pick or two and then obtained QB Baker Mayfield later. If this happened, i could go along with a present Anderson trade and obtaining Mayfield.later.

Selecting N.C. State’s OT Ikem Ekwonu at No. 6 was a dream selection.There is no way that i though he would make it to us. I was afraid we would do some type of dumb trade back to obtain more draft choices and was greatly relieved when that didn't happen. The Panthers have the making now for a very good OL,something we have not had in a very long time.

I could see this happening but i hope it doesn't. I want one of the top three LT or Willis. Trading back will give us more draft picks but less quailty to chose from.

My draft excited this year is at an all time low. I just cannot make myself have confidence that the Panthers will make wise decisions but will do something stupid trying to make up for the lack of draft picks.

Bingo!! Get a good LT and build a line to assure the QB we eventually get has a decent chance to succeed.

I tend to agree that Howell will be a good value for some team because several of the over hyped quarterbacks will be drafted before him, allowing a team to select him later in the draft.

I would flip that OT draft order and have : #5. New York Giants: Ikem Ekwonu OT, N.C. State #6 Carolina Panthers Charles Gross, OT, Mississippi State I would be happy if we drafted either one of them
