Most of us can agree that winning football games starts with a good OL and DL.

Gone all to soon! RIP Coach Mike Leach.

Having Luke Kuechly on the Panthers coaching staff would be an added plus. Luke would bring the solid leadership skills and vast playing knowledge he displayed when was an elite Panthers linebacker.

What DJ Moore did was FLAG WORTHY but this WASN'T?????
KatsAzz replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
How obvious can you get? There should have been an ejection and a penalty given for his actions. -

Dallas safety Roy Williams said it was Smith's mouth -- not hands -- that got him thrown out. "He said some harsh words to the ref," Williams said. "The ref didn't like it, and he got ejected, plain and simple." -
I could hardly believe that Marshall caught that ball without it touching the turf. This almost unbelieve catch was attributed to consentration, skill and lots of luck.

Come on man, lighten up. Burns played his azz off all game but for some unknown reason, the whole team, not just him, seemed to relax on the touch down. These things happen in football from time to time, so there is no need being critical and pointing fingers.

Are you In favor of bring back Laviska Shenault next season?
KatsAzz replied to micnificent28's topic in Carolina Panthers
I am all in favor of retaining WR Laviska Shenault but would like to see more upgrade gained at that position by a trade or the 2023 NFL Draft. -
Don't be to sure because money talks and coaches tend to listen if the price and future promise is appealing.

Just think, as good as he currently is, the best is still yet to come from Panthers cornerback Jaycee Horn.

Wilks would make a very good Panthers head coach. He would be a consistent winner if he has the right asst. coaches and the Panthers finally settle in on the starting QB, in addition to upgrading the WR and TE positions.

The same as they would on any head coach that lost a couple of games. Those that always want a perfect team and perfect head coach will continue to be disappointed.

Sam Darnold will have these last few games to impress the Panthers brain trust, so his future remaining here is in his own hands.

Saints busted (again) for faking an injury
KatsAzz replied to Captain Morgan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Exactly. I don't like the Saints but these big fines certainly seem somewhat unfair. -
Congratulations to Baker Mayfield on the win. His performance proved he can win games when good coaching and playing calling give him a chance to succeed. Let's hope Baker can pull out a few more wins and help the Panthers draft position.
-
It certainly seems that way .
-
Yes, there are teams that would like to have him.

Anthony Richardson declares for the draft
KatsAzz replied to Ricky Spanish's topic in Carolina Panthers
My guess is the Panthers will be drafting somewhere around # 6. If he is there i feel they should take him and get a good coach to further develop and enhance his great natural talents. -
For what it's worth, it has been reported that less than half of first-round QBs manage a single 4000-yd or 24 touchdown season. Those are pretty low bars for success. On top of that, almost half don’t even make it to a second contract. Expecting a first-round QB to change your franchise appears to be wishful thinking. If we tighten the constraints to just top-10 picks, things don’t get much better. We still see that half still don’t ever see 4000 yards or 24 touchdowns in a season. On top of that, only 70% last 5 years with their drafting team. Okay, let’s be VERY restrictive: just first overall picks. Now we are down to a sample size of 12 guys. It’s little surprise that the numbers are looking better. A 3200-yd season is closer to a guarantee and we have pretty good odds at 4000 yards and 32 touchdowns. Still, the elite marks remain elusive and two of the 12 quarterbacks don't see their fifth year.

" Fitterer, keep checking on the Huddle to find out who we should select # 1 in the 2023 NFL Draft. "

My previous dislike for the Sea Hawks was based on what I thought was unfounded glory that kept getting heaped on Russell Wilson. Now that Wilson is gone, they are just another NFL team to me, that is on a downward spiral.
