I don't want another Ron Rivera Clone, a nice guy but to ultra conservative. I want an offensive minded HC and a decent DC, both that will know how to make good game plans and make half times changes to adjust to the other teams schemes.

If a QB is not there in the draft the Panthers like, I would like to see them draft the best TE or WR on the board with their first pick. I have no idea what the free agency market will look like later on but considering the Panthers have so many needs to address, they should cut some of the teams dead wood and be as active a player in free agency as the salary cap will allow.

The Lions have a good offense, so I expect them to put some points on the board, which will hurt the Panthers because their ball control offense is not suited to play catch up and score lots of points.

The Panthers need to sign center Bradley Bozeman as soon as possible, no matter what it takes.

It’s been three years since the Carolina Panthers had anything like consistent production at the tight end position. Something that has become an area of significant need. Ian Thomas is never going to be what the Panthers hoped from a pass-catching standpoint. His blocking remains good, but the modern-day NFL requires much more. Whether the likes of Tommy Tremble and Stephen Sullivan can emerge as legitimate No. 1 options in is debatable. I would like to see the Panthers seek a potential upgrade as a matter of urgency in free agency or the draft. There are a number of intriguing options emerging from the college ranks next spring. But the Panthers might also examine the veteran pool of free agents despite their lack of financial firepower right now.

I will be surprised if our coaching staff is good enough to game plan to take advantage of their weakness and open up the passing game if the Lions put eight men on the line to try stopping the run game, the way the Steelers did.

That would be an ideal sceniro. The Lions defense may susceptible to the run but I thought the same about the Steelers run defense and we all know how that turned out.
