  1. Young coordinators like Steichen can sometimes be miscast as Head Coaches. There’s always a risk that a hotshot Coordinator like him is a better fit for the play-calling job instead of the Head Coach position.
  2. The Panthers defense was their strong suit this season. The stats don't necessarily reflect it, but a struggling offense often times forced them to be on the field a great deal longer than one would expect with an even middling offense.
  3. Reich is seen as one of the better offensive minds in the NFL. The Colts ranked in the top 10 in scoring in three of his first four seasons in Indianapolis. The unit also ranked in the top of the league in yardage during three of those four seasons as well. While Reich had a turnstile at quarterback during his tenure, his offenses — until this past season — functioned at a relatively high level.
  4. Since the lack of division success is a signal that Reich is better fit for a coordinator job than a head coaching position. A Wilks (head coach)-Reich (offensive coordinator) pairing could be appealing to Tepper and a combination I would like to see joined together..
  5. Man, wrong to think it would be competive!!!
  6. The game was over last night before it began. There is no way i could watch that blowout of a game to the end.
  7. I have it on now. Should be a good game.
  8. Fields is a thrilling playmaker, but he can’t do it consistently enough to be one of the most productive quarterbacks in the NFL, and that would not get the Panthers where they want to go.
  9. After talking to Harbaugh the other day, It sounds like Tepper didn't like what he would demand to be the Panthers Head Coach.
  10. Exactly. Some fans just don't get it. Sure it would be better for certain teams to lose games but try telling that to the coaches and players that have their present and future jobs on the line, I don't think you will find that any of them would agree to the losing games concept.
  11. I give Wilks credit for doing a good, job considering what he inherited from the Rhule administration but I am afraid the loss to the Bucs that would have won the division probably did him in.
  12. I would take him or Harbaugh if either wants to come to Carolina. A win-win sceniro.
  13. " The prayers have not stopped since Hamlin collapsed on the field Monday, and they will continue in the hopes that Hamlin will be able not only to lead a normal life again but to lead one that could potentially lead him back to football if he chooses." " But even if he never plays another down, there is no denying what he means to McKees Rocks and Pittsburgh and now Buffalo and to every life he has touched along the way."
  14. Are they related to ( Mike McDaniel and Jim Harbaugh )? Of those two, Mike McDaniel would probably want less control and be easier to work with. Let's just hope we get one of them because either would be a great choice.
  15. Yes, that seems to be his weakness and why I was glad he left the Panthers, even though I liked him a lot as a person.
  16. My hat is off to Heinicke for his unselfish class act. It is somewhat sad when the teams QB has to point out to the head coach what he should do.
  17. If I had a choice between the two, it would come down to which ones contract demands and projected plans for the team fit what I thought would best be beneficial for the team.
  18. Some Panther fans would not be satisfied regardless of who was selected as the next head coach.
  19. Who cares if a coach has a large ego as long as he builds the football team for success and makes it into a winning franchise. I hope the bad taste that Rhule left us with doesn't turn everyone off on Harbaugh, his polar opposite, who has a long record of success.
  20. Prayers are extended to Peyton Hillis and his family. Tragic events like this remind us how ones life can change in a moment.
  21. That is not the HC or QB I selected but I could certainly see this happening.
