  1. Some of the belief in Sam Darnold’s ability to perform better here than he did in New York is the scheme and the improved players around him, although the question mark remaining at left tackle is a concern. A significant part of that is running back Christian McCaffrey, who described himself as 100% healthy after missing 13 games last year due to injury. Darnold said some of McCaffrey’s skills as a receiver and a rusher compare to former Jets back Le’Veon Bell. The pair of new teammates have known each other dating back to their time in the Pac-12 when USC and Stanford faced off, but they only played in a game against each other in college once (a 27-10 Stanford win in 2016 that Darnold did not start). The pair has also been at workouts together in California multiple times, including this offseason.
  2. I have confidence in Panthers QB Sam Darnold. I imagine it would take some getting used to if you were a young (23 year old) person arriving in a strange city. Plus, having to meet new teammates, form a social life and lead an NFL team that was placed on your shoulders with the expectations you would make them rise above their present low status.
  3. Panthers QB Sam Darnold spoke to the media about his relationships with his teammates and getting life set up in Charlotte
  4. I am anxiously waiting on Thursday to arrive and see the " Panthers Confidential" how the Panthers have crammed years' worth of moves into the last five months. The exclusive access inside the offices of decision-makers and glimpses of life outside the stadium for players and staff, Panthers Confidential offers a taste of what it's like beyond the headlines, should be very interesting.
  5. House prices are going up and tax increases are sure to follow.

  7. I feel sure Sam Darnold will have some growing pains at times, much like any NFL QB that is introduced to a new team and system. However, let's give him an unbiased chance and not let the fact some members here on the Huddle wanted Fields cloud our views in the evaluation of Darnolds performance.
  8. Head coach Matt Rhule and general manager Scott Fitterer have every belief Sam Darnold can be the starting-caliber quarterback the Panthers have been searching for. I will have to go along with their thinking until proved otherwise.
  9. Teddy looked so fragile last year it made me shutter because i expected him to get injured real bad at some point in the season.
  10. Now that is one bad azz dude!!!!
  11. Heart felt prayers are extended to the Olsen family.
  12. The Atlanta Falcons and Julio Jones appear on the verge of a split. When the team drafted tight end Kyle Pitts with the No. 4 overall pick instead of taking a quarterback, it seemed they were all in on winning this season. The Pitts pick now looks like the team just couldn’t pass on his talent, but are still keeping their eye on the future, as reports surface that the team wants to move their future Hall of Fame wide receiver. Jones requested a trade a couple months ago according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. The Falcons also said, “would like to trade” Jones according to The Athletic’s Jeff Schultz. They surely want to get as much as possible for their star wide out, and likely told prospective trade partners that they are very willing to keep him another season. But, now that Jones has requested a trade and said on record about his time in Atlanta, “I’m out of there,” they likely don’t have as much leverage. He also says that he wants to go to a winning team, which could narrow the trade partners down. There are plenty of possibilities out there of teams that could use someone of Jones’ caliber to take a big step toward a Super Bowl win. Rumors will be flying, but at this moment there really is no frontrunner for his 2021 services.
  13. A hamstring injury limited Jones to just nine games last season, though he still put up strong numbers when he was on the field. He caught 51 passes for 771 yards and three scores as the Falcons finished the year 4-12. From 2014-19, Jones missed only four games and averaged 104 catches and 1,564 yards per season. According to The Athletic's Jeff Schultz, the Ravens, 49ers, Patriots, Colts and Chargers are among possible teams that could land Jones. According to Breer, a second-round could end up as the eventual compensation for the star wideout
  14. Gas shortage? No problem, just fill up several plastic bags with gas.
  15. Thanks Harbingers for the informative heads up.
  16. Exactly. I don't look for Ian Thompson to make the 2021 Panthers team.
  17. Thanks for the heads up ladypanther. The NFL Network Feature should be interesting and hopefully informative as well. I will try to watch and record it
  18. ▪ Running back: Keep Four > Christian McCaffrey, Chuba Hubbard, Reggie Bonnafon, Trenton Cannon. Place Rodney Smith on the Practice Squad. ▪ Fullback: > Tremble FB/TE One of these will be cut and one placed on the practice squad. Mikey Daniel, Mason Stokke,
  19. One area where Taylor particularly thrives is press coverage on the outside. This was an obvious problem for the Panthers in 2020 and something defensive coordinator Phil Snow went away from entirely at critical moments. Adding Bouye, Taylor, and Horn to go with Jackson should instantly transform this.
