  1. This is a great question that needs answered?
  2. Darnold is young and talented, but we've now seen him in the NFL for almost 40 games and his raw abilities have rarely generated steady, high-level play. And many have pointed to the incessant pressure Darnold faced with the Jets as a factor outside of his control when explaining why he flopped to start his NFL career, but he was actually much closer to league average under pressure than he was from a clean pocket in 2020. The improved situation with the Panthers will catalyze a more respectable Darnold than someone who was in the running for the worst starting quarterback in the league last season. He has too much natural ability as an anticipatory thrower to be that bad again.
  3. I can understand a young QB under pressure, on a real bad team, launching ill advised throws while trying to make things happen, which would cause him to make mistakes.
  4. I see where you are coming from but the jury is still out on Fields,so i am going to wait until he has played a full year to determine whether we should have selected him with our first round pick.
  5. We can never have too much offensive line depth, so if Cam Erving gets beat out as a starter he provides really nice depth for when we need a fill-in for one of the starters at tackle or guard.
  6. Not sure i would break the bank for Collins.
  7. My choice to start at LT would be Dennis Daley until someone else proves they are more capable.
  8. At some point a strong case could be made for bringing in the "Tooth Fairy".
  9. If it was a permanent tooth then, it certainly isn't now.
  10. I haven't seen that rumor but it would be nice to get an update on that possible situation.
  11. Great question. Last i heard he had not signed but i cannot find any updates about it.
  12. This was was good news for us Panthers fans and QB Sam Darnold seeing Panthers signing the star offensive tackle Taylor Moton to a gigantic four-year deal, making him one of the highest-paid players at his respective position. Salute.
  13. It is obvious the Panthers are cutting it fine. But as long as something gets done with Moton, nobody will care too much.
  14. One could also say if Fields bums out it he would not be the first rd quarterback that did it. Hope Fields is a success but one never knows until the season begins and he starts playing football in the highly competive NFL.
  15. Going from College Football to the NFL is a whole new and different world, there is so much to consider in the evaluation of college players, especially quarterbacks.
  16. The trio were all targeted on social media after their penalty misses. Sick morons left vile messages and sent monkey emojis to the young players. Attacking the racists at a press conference tonight, the Prime Minister said: "Shame on you. I hope you crawl back under the rock from which you emerged." Mr Johnson hailed the Three Lions "heroes" for their performances which had "filled me with pride".
  17. You could be right because the top teams selecting in the 2021 NFL Draft must have felt that way as well because they passed on him in the draft.
  18. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/carolina-panthers-worst-move-offseason-141506856.html What was the Carolina Panthers’ worst move this offseason? Mistakes are a part of life. They also make regular appearances for your favorite NFL team, whichever it might be. Every year, organizations make blunders. They sign mediocre players to exorbitant contracts in free agency, they pass on promising prospects in the draft and they let quality athletes go in favor of negligible salary cap savings. The Carolina Panthers are no exception to the rule. Even though general manager Scott Fitterer has generally done a good job in his first offseason at the helm, he has also made some highly-questionable decisions. According to the Athletic, signing offensive lineman Cameron Erving was the worst move the team has made this offseason. If the plan really is to start Erving at left tackle, odds are it’s going to go bad for the Panthers once the season begins. However, as bad as Erving is, it’s not the kind of mistake that can haunt an organization for a generation. From our perspective there was at least one move (or non-move) that qualifies as a worse decision. Sitting at No. 8 overall in the draft, Carolina had a chance to select a potential franchise quarterback and play him for five years on a relatively cheap rookie contract. Instead of taking Justin Fields, they went with Jaycee Horn instead. While we expect Horn to be an excellent cornerback at the next level, passing on a top QB prospect when you don’t have an established starter is just about as bad as it gets in the NFL. If Fields goes on to become a star for the Bears, the Panthers may be regretting that one for decades.
  19. Good choice. That would be a good surprise if CB Keith Taylor, who was drafted 166 in the 5th rd., not only made the team but excelled.
  20. {" Unfortunately, all of this positivity comes with that Sam Darnold-shaped asterisk, because if he doesn’t work out this team’s ceiling will remain relatively limited, no matter what the cap or draft capital picture looks like."}
