  1. Either that or we will trade back to get more draft picks and screw up each selection. I am hoping we address the OL in free agency and pick QB Kenny Pickett with our first selection if he is still on the board.
  2. I am inclined to agree. The Falcons are not as bad as their record indicates, so the Panthers will have to play an "A Plus" game if they are going to have a chance to win.
  3. Personally, Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh, would be my first choice for the Panthers to draft but would not be unhappy if they selected Howell.
  4. This is how i would rank the top six 2022 draft-eligible prospects based on factors like experience, proven production, recent production and physical upside. Malik Willis, Liberty. Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh. ... Matt Corral, QB, Mississippi. ... Desmond Ridder, Cincinnati. ... Sam Howell, North Carolina. ... Jayden Daniels, Arizona State
  5. My guess is that Sam Howell will be the 2nd, 3rd (maybe 4th) QB taken off the board in the 2022 NFL Draft.
  6. I would like to hear some update on the progress or lack thereof pertaining to Donte Brown.
  7. NFL Quarterback Rating comments shown below has Kenny Pickett rated as the number one QB in the 2020 NFL Draft. I’m calling it now, we’re changing Kenny Pickett‘s nickname to Kenny ‘The Mailman’ Pickett because he delivers in any weather. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays Pickett from the swift completion of his accurately-placed passes. The Mailman is fifth in the country with 3,517 passing yards and fourth with 32 touchdowns through the air. Pickett is the only quarterback with at least 330 pass attempts and 4 or fewer interceptions to his credit this season. Pickett has demonstrated all the requisite on-field skills to rise on NFL draft boards, and he maintains his top spot on these QB rankings. The fifth-year senior has become Pitt’s all-time leader in passing yards (11,501), passing touchdowns (71), completions (971), and he has his sights set on even more Pitt records. Rewriting the record books at a university is one thing, breaking records held by players like Dan Marino and Alex Van Belt is another. He’ll break the Pitt record for most yards in a season (3,679) likely in the first half of their Week 12 game against Virginia. Like the expression stated, The Mailman simply delivers, no matter the situation. His rain-soaked performance against UNC in Week 11 is just another case of Pickett elevating his game to elite standards this season. With two heavily-favored games left on their regular season, Pickett will likely have the ACC Championship Game and a bowl game appearance to increase his records. Then, it’s off to the NFL for The Mailman.
  8. R.I.P. DeMaryius Thomas. Prayers are extended to the family.
  9. Hmmm!! If I remember correctly a QB by the name of Kenny (The Snake) Stabler wasn't to bad.
  10. I know very little about Kenny Pickett, so what would be your knock on him as an NFL QB?
  11. I have zero faith in Rhule and company pertainingg to the 2022 NFL Draft. It would not surprise me if we trade out of our number 1 draft position, passing up on a blue chipper to obtain more choices and screw up on every one of the picks we gained.
  12. Kenny Pickett, Pittsburgh Kenny Pickett‘s rapid ascension isn’t quite done yet. He’s dominating the action and is currently the top quarterback in our College QB Rankings. When it comes to NFL projection, however, he’ll have to weather the ever-important “hand measurement” during postseason All-Star and NFL Combine periods. If you look at his ability on the field, his hand size shouldn’t matter. He clearly hasn’t had any ball security issues and can spin the football with ease. There are few that have his mileage, as the fifth-year player has gone the distance for Pittsburgh. Still, Pickett has continually developed over his five seasons and has capped it off with one of the better college football passing seasons we’ve seen in some time. His rise is certainly similar to that of Joe Burrow or Zach Wilson of the past two draft classes.
  13. OT Greg Little 6' 5" 310 lbs 35 1/4" arms HANDS 10 1/4" More proof that arms are not everything.
  14. If WR Steve Smith had started under Rhule and company he would probably been cast as a kick returner and never been considered a WR. Of course we all know you have to be at least 6 ft plus to be a wide receiver in the NFL,right Rhule?
  15. Hmmm!! Definition of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.
  16. When i hear the word playoffs associated with a losing record team like the Panthers, i cannot help but think of Jim Moras playoff rant.
  17. For the remaining five games I forecast - Game 1. Atlanta Loss - Game 2. Buffalo Loss - Game 3. Tampa Bay Loss - Game 4. New Orleans Toss Up - Game 5. Tampa Bay Win, only if they rest their starters. If corrrect it would mean we lose at least 3 or 4 of the 5 remaining games, with a question mark pertaining to Tampa Bay, our last game.
  18. Exactly. And it shows just how incompetent the Panthers present brain trust really are.
  19. You sumed the sitution up very nicely. It actually starts with Tepper being a bad judge of coaching talent when he hired Rhule, a college coach that is in over his head. Letting Teddy go and trying to pull magic out of a bottle by making stupid knee jerk decisions, hoping to have an instant playoff team, instead of going through a normal, safe and sane building process was plain dumb. It shows me we are dealing with people in this organization from Tepper on down that are not only to impatient but totally incompetent compared to people running the successful NFL teams.
  20. I would not be willing to give Rhule a third season but my guess is that Tepper will at least give him one more year.
  21. Losing out is very possible. I can easy see us losing the five remaining games to Atlanta - Buffalo -Tampa Bay-New Orleans-Tampa Bay.
  22. I am not so sure we will not get blown out by the Falcons. They played Tom Brady and Tampa Bay tough today. The closer score would have been closer if it had not been for suspect calls against the Falcons on several drives.
  23. With his NFL experience Nixon should have been the Panthers OC all along. When you hire college guys for the NFL,you most often get college type results, not NFL results.
  24. Something had to give because Brady’s offense wasn’t sustainable He didn’t evolve quickly enough and NFL defensive coordinators caught up. The Panthers’ offense ranks 29th in Football Outsiders DVOA metric, which measures efficiency against league averages. Only the Lions, Falcons and Texans are worse. Over the past four games, they have scored seven touchdowns. The Panthers averages just 19.7 points per game, are 28th in yards (300.8) and 22nd in red-zone touchdown percentage. If an offense isn’t gaining yards between the 20s, scoring red-zone touchdowns or generating points then something must change. Rhule pulled the plug on his 18-month Brady experiment for all those reasons. Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article256355367.html#storylink=cpy
