  1. I only see two quarterbacks: C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young that are worthy of being taken in Rd # 1 in the 2023 NFL Draft, in my opinion. Those two are followed in order by Will Levis, Tanner McKee and Anthony Richardson, 3 that are long shots to be selected in 1st rd but more likely 2nd rd choices. If C.J. Stroud and Bryce Young are both gone when the Panthers are selecting, I am wondering if they will roll the dice and pick either Levis, McKee, Richardson, or just chose the best player available?
  2. Now the we presently have hind sight, that trade could be one of the biggest steals in NFL history.
  3. I see that answering posts in a civil manner is not your thing. Lighten up Shirley.
  4. Rhule was a Con Man that made millions while doing nothing to earn it.
  5. Men's Fanatics Branded Black Oregon Ducks True Sport Men's Navy Oregon Ducks Banner Arch T-Shirt DRAFT PROFILE: BIO Bo Nix from Pinson Valley High School was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN and handed a 5-star grade by 247 Sports. After high school, Nix opted to join Auburn. In 2019 as a freshman Nix saw action in 13 games for the Tigers as he threw for an impressive 2538 yards on 382 attempts with a completion percent of 56.8 for an average of 6.6 yards per pass, with a decent 16 TDs, while taking 16 sacks, and a decent QB rating of 84.5. He added 85 runs for a total of 429 yards at an average of 5.0 per run. In 2020 as a sophomore he played in 11 games as he passed for an impressive 2412 yards on 361 attempts with a completion percent of 59.3 for an average of 6.7 yards per pass, with a decent 12 TDs, while also taking 17 sacks, and putting up a decent QB rating of 82.3. He made 93 runs for a total of 480 yards at an average of 5.2 per rush. As a junior in 2021 Nix played a total of 10 games. He passed for an impressive 2293 yards on 327 attempts and put up a completion percentage of 60.2 for an average of 7.0 yards per attempt, with a decent 11 TDs, and allowing 11 sacks, with a decent QB rating on the year of 88.9. As a runner he logged 52 runs for a total of 268 yards at an average of 5.2 per run. SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS He’s good enough as a runner to work read-option plays, keeping back-side defenders in place. Picks up yards with his legs when needed. He’s an athlete who runs well and must be accounted for in the read-option game. Gets the ball out quickly, making ·splitsecond decisions. Good short to intermediate level accuracy, demonstrating the ball placement to allow receivers to run after the catch. Generally accurate on intermediate and short throws; flashes anticipation and placement on intermediate outs and the ability to lead receivers on deeper throws. Good accuracy overall, including excellent accuracy on short timing routes to backs and receivers, placing the ball slightly in front to lead receivers to potential yardage after the catch. SCOUTING REPORT: WEAKNESSES He’s far too quick to lower his eyes and look for a running lane after moving off his first read (too many plays in college that won’t translate to the NFL). Mechanically, his stride is inconsistent, adding to accuracy issues. His decision making after the snap is shaky. Nix gets sloppy with his mechanics on the move, losing accuracy as Nix relies too much on his arm.
  6. " Matt Rhule when asked what he would do differently in his time in Carolina opens by saying he probably would’ve taken a different job. " This is one of the very few things I have ever agreed with him.
  7. I have seen Brady do that lots of times and nothing called.
  8. I thought Brian Burn gave a good interview by letting his out going personality show and fielding all the questions correctly.
  9. If the Panthers only have one more loss by seasons end, I would be more than comfortable with them retaining Wilks as head coach and keeping Darnold as the starter or backup quarterback.
  10. I blame Tepper for selecting Rhule, instead of letting NFL experts do a head coaching job search evaluation and then taking their advice before hiring one.
  11. The fact the Panthers didn't get him was an unanswered pray.
  12. From that list, Brissett, Minshew and Darnold would probably be the the best ones for the salary they would require.
  13. What a big mistake that would have been if the Panthers had sold the farm to obtain Russell Wilson, a QB whose career is heading down hill.
  14. That I can understand. I pulled for Washington for years before we got the Panthers, so I suppose I got conditioned to pulling for a team that had one bad season after the other. I realize, not everyone can, or perhaps shouldn't get use to doing that.
  15. The whole QB position will be up in the air because a new head coach will want to put his stamp of approval on the team. The QB position will be one of the main things he will address, to see who fits his his overall program plan..
  16. Just thought it strange you being a Moderator that you are checking out on the team at this point with lots of football to play. (" Honestly I'm just checked out at this point ")
  17. True. The Heisman trophy curse seems to be real.
  18. I congratulate you on being a great Carolina Panthers fan. Not!!!!
  19. The only thing I want left from the Matt Rhule area is bad memories and there are plenty of those.
  20. I believe that the seemingly lack of concern is often caused by coaches that have a constant bad game plans. The players know these game plans are bad and don't buy into them completely. Plus, not all coaches have been good motivators, not having the ability to keep players on the needed high level, giving it their all.
  21. I fully believe an NFL team should build itself up to the point that a quarterback they select will have the offensive and defensive weapons around him that assures he can have success, be able to develop and be molded into a constant winner. All to many young quarters are drafted by bad teams and their careers are ruined before they get a chance to meet their full capability.
  22. After Sundays win against the Denver Broncos the Panthers moved up from # 31 to #21 on the NFL Rating Chart. Previously: 31. Carolina Panthers (4-8) - Present: 21. The Panthers are just one game out of the divisional lead, and they've already beaten the Buccaneers. They have a legitimate chance to win the division with their stellar defense. The offense, meanwhile, looks functional with Sam Darnold, which is why they're getting a big bump this week.
  23. As former Jets head coach Herman Edwards famously said, “You play to win the game!” Oftentimes, fans may not agree with this strategy. However, any fan who genuinely wants their team to lose games on purpose is coming from a place of ignorance. They just haven’t thought the entire scenario through. How disrespectful would it be if a team were to show up to a packed stadium full of loyal, excited fans, with most of them having paid the price of a small vacation to attend, only to see their beloved franchise play like a team completely uninterested in winning. That would be shameful and embarrassing for everyone involved. So, to those out there wishing for the Panthers to "Suck for the Duck," or any of that nonsense, just be careful of what you wish for.
  24. Those coaches that followed Matt Rhule were addition by subtraction.
