  1. I wonder why it took him so long to declare for the draft?
  2. Ben Johnson, Detroit Lions offensive coordinator: The Panthers will interview the North Carolina and Reynolds High School (Asheville) graduate on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Johnson completed a virtual interview with the Colts on Friday. Read more at: https://www.charlotteobserver.com/sports/nfl/carolina-panthers/article271194207.html#storylink=cpy
  3. Odds Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson Returns in 2023 NFL insider Jonathan Jones on CBS Report: Ben Johnson is in the lead to become the Carolina Panthers' next Head Coach. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson reportedly is in the lead to become the next Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers. After interviewing with the Colts and Texans, Johnson is scheduled to interview with the Panthers next week. "Ben Johnson has the lead in Carolina," reported NFL insider Jonathan Jones on CBS, during his "Eye on the NFL" segment with NFL Today host James Brown. There is growing buzz that Panthers owner David Tepper is quite "enamored" with Detroit's first-year offensive coordinator..
  4. I would like to see the Saints give away the farm for Lamar and further wreck their program when he quits on them or gets numerous injuries.
  5. DT Derrick Brown and LB Frankie Luvu are two of the players that keep me excited about the Panthers future by knowing they will be part of the teams rebuild .
  6. If the Panthers could get Sean Payton without giving up draft picks, I would be all for trying get him. However, since that would be impossible and considering the obvious needs the Panthers have to retain draft picks, my opinion is he would cost to much to get.
  7. There are better QB options out there than Trey Lance in my opinion.
  8. I believe that Sam Darnold would be history if the Panthers signed Derek Carr.
  9. If what Will Kunkie said on WFNZ is correct, no one should blame the Panthers if they don't take a QB in the 1st rd of the 2023 NFL Draft. I would not be surprised if the Panthers tried hard to get Carr, if he becomes a free agent.
  10. Carolina Panthers: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky The Panthers need a franchise quarterback. I'm sure they'll attempt to move up for Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud, but if they can't, they could settle for the third or fourth option in this class. Will Levis has a big arm and could be chosen in the top 10.
  11. It will be interesting to see how the kicking job plays out in training camp because Eddie Piñeiro wasn't the Panthers initial plan at kicker. He came in just before the season after Zane Gonzalez suffered a season-ending groin injury in the Panthers' preseason finale. He finished the year 32-of-34 on field goal attempts, a 94.1 percentage that's the second-best in a single season among Panthers' kickers with at least 30 attempts. The mark is just behind Graham Gano's 96.7 percent in 2017, when Gano went 29-of-30. Piñeiro's 32 total made field goals this year rank second in Panthers' history for a single season, behind 37 from John Kasay in 1996.
  12. Regardless of what happens with him and the Ravens, i personally would not want the Panthers to go after him considering the overall cost and the other factors involved.

  14. Two things: #1 The Ravens are not going to let QB Lamar Jackson go. #2 Even if they did, the Panthers are still in a somewhat of a rebuild mode and cannot afford him.
  15. I am feed up with the Panthers taking other teams retreads or rejects at the QB position. I would like for the Panthers to see what they have with Corral, even if they have to use a bridge type QB to start this upcoming season and perhaps draft another quarterback if the draft falls in their favor.
  16. Meanwhile the Charlotte Hornets remains a cellar dwelling type team
  17. Heck of a catch by DJ Moore and a great throw by Baker Mayfield.
  18. Shows that good coaches know how to use a RB to help prolong his career and hopefully remain injury free.
  19. The good news is that Cade May can play all 5 OL positions, plus fill in as a FB.
  20. More than likely. Wilks hasn't got the Panthers HC job yet but i feel sure he is talking to different position coaches in case he stays here or gets a HC job elsewhere.
  21. According to his recruiting profile on 247Sports, Young measured in at 5-foot-11 and 183 pounds when he was a five-star recruit coming out of high school. Now,i see they are listing him being 6'0" 194 pounds. I suppose we will get the accurate measurements on all the players at the combine.
  22. Thanks for the heads up. I haven't had time to get updated on all the firings.
  23. I don't think that either Young or Stroud, who both come with some questions, would be worth giving up that much.
  24. If I wanted to sink the team by giving up what it would take to obtain the Bears # 1 Draft Pick, I would lock myself in my office until I became rational and talked myself out of it.
