Panthers sign former UNC safety Myles Dorn
KatsAzz replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
CHARLOTTE — The Panthers added another defensive back to the offseason roster Wednesday. The team signed safety Myles Dorn 6'2" 205 lbs, to a reserve/future deal. The 24-year-old Dorn, a Charlotte native who played at Chambers High and the University of North Carolina as a running back and later at defensive back. Dorn has spent the last three seasons with the Vikings. He played in five games for the Vikings this season and nine last year. He's the son of former NFL cornerback Torin Dorn. -
My choice now is Shane Steichen, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator: The Panthers interviewed Steichen virtually on Saturday, a league source confirmed. The Eagles have a first-round bye in the playoffs, so Steichen was eligible for a virtual interview this weekend. He will not be able to interview in person with any team until the Eagles are eliminated from the playoffs or get a bye week before the Super Bowl. I am trying to think how many different ways I can say no to the Panthers obtaining Payton+ Brady.

I cannot stand either team and gladly switched channels in the 3rd quarter!

Yeah!! That had a black stripe on each end. One of my relatives has one similar that was passed down to him. I believe the old Cleveland Brown QB Otto Grahams name is printed on it. -

1/17 Athletic/Brugler Mock: Panthers Trade Up
KatsAzz replied to Bear Hands's topic in Carolina Panthers
I hate to give up future draft picks but if the Panthers could obtain the No. 5 for Nos. 9, 93 and a 2024 first-round pick, I would be all for it. -

That certainly sounds like a solid plan. Now, let's do it! -

Then leave the team gutted and in a rebuild mode if his plan doesn't work out. -

Just thinking what the Panthers would have to give up to obtain Sean Payton makes me have heart burns. The Panthers need a QB that can help them have balance and build for the future, lots more than getting Payton by giving up needed draft choices. -
I personally want someone other than Sean Payton as the Panthers new head coach. There is no way I want to see them give up a true 1st rd pick for him. However, if the Panthers did decide to go after Payton, I think the 49ers' 2nd and 3rd you suggested would be a fair value.

The Charlotte Observer confirmed Harbaugh and Tepper had a conversation about the Panthers’ head-coaching vacancy. Since then, Harbaugh released a statement via the University of Michigan’s Twitter that he anticipates returning to Ann Arbor. The Panthers have not yet conducted a formal interview with Harbaugh. That could change. If it doesn’t then Tepper was not interested in handing over full control of the organization to another college coach like he did with Rhule. The best organizations find and then successfully maintain alignment between ownership, the front office and the head coach. The next Panthers head coach must align with Tepper’s vision and Fitterer’s plan while serving as a CEO capable of authentic leadership and winning football education and strategy. The Panthers certainly have a good group of head coach candidates to pick from and I feel certain they will have done some serious homework before they commit to anyone. While I am leaning toward them selecting either Steichen or Johnson, I will not complain, no matter who they decide on, after suffering through Matt Rhules debacle here.

I will always be a Carolina Panthers fan but if they moved to another city and state, I feel sure my interest level would decrease somewhat.

Detroit Fans "Ben Johnson is Terrible, Stay Away"
KatsAzz replied to chknwing's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the Detroit Fans are posting "Ben Johnson is Terrible, Stay Away", it means that are afraid he will leave and are trying to scare people away from obtaining him.. -
. Clayton Tune (Houston) is projected to be drafted somewhere in the 4-6 round. Like you, I feel he could have good value at that rang Tune is 6-foot-3, 220-pounder, has enough size and will enter the next level with a lot of starting experience because he broke into the starting lineup during the 2019 season

I wonder why it took him so long to declare for the draft?

Tepper enamored with Ben Johnson per Person
KatsAzz replied to raleigh-panther's topic in Carolina Panthers
Odds Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson Returns in 2023 NFL insider Jonathan Jones on CBS Report: Ben Johnson is in the lead to become the Carolina Panthers' next Head Coach. Detroit Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson reportedly is in the lead to become the next Head Coach of the Carolina Panthers. After interviewing with the Colts and Texans, Johnson is scheduled to interview with the Panthers next week. "Ben Johnson has the lead in Carolina," reported NFL insider Jonathan Jones on CBS, during his "Eye on the NFL" segment with NFL Today host James Brown. There is growing buzz that Panthers owner David Tepper is quite "enamored" with Detroit's first-year offensive coordinator.. -

Panthers receive permission to interview Sean Payton
KatsAzz replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
If the Panthers could get Sean Payton without giving up draft picks, I would be all for trying get him. However, since that would be impossible and considering the obvious needs the Panthers have to retain draft picks, my opinion is he would cost to much to get.
