It is great to see Smitty put his stamp of approval on WR Jonathan Mingo.Smitty tells it like it is. When he talks about a WR we all need to listen.

Congratulations on a good call. I actually never thought WR Jonathan Mingo would last until the Panthers pick in the 2nd Rd.

I think that was smart thinking by Tepper to confuse the other teams about which players the Panthers wanted to draft.

WR Jonathan Mingo is big, strong, fast and has good hands. All this points to this being a really great draft pick.

When I first watched the tape on WR Jonathan Mingo, I could not help but think of former Panther WR Muhsin (Moose) Muhammad. They are both 6'2, 220 Lbs 4.45 or 4.50 speed and great hands. If Jonathan turns out to be anywhere close to Moose in his prime, the panthers not only will have gotten a steal, it will be a super steal.

This was a great selection. A lot of people had a 1st Rd rating on Jonathan Mingo and I never thought he would last until the Panthers drafted in the 2nd Rd. I think all of us fans will be happy at the way he fits into the offense and how he will be able to help out a young QB like Bryce Young.

Jonathan Mingo has the hands and the body to follow in the Ole Miss-to-NFL footsteps of A.J. Brown and DK Metcalf. In a wide receiver class that's short on size, Mingo checked in at 6-2 and 220 pounds in Indianapolis, then put on quite an athletic display in the 40-yard dash (4.46 seconds), vertical leap (39.5 inches), broad jump (10-foot-9) and bench press (22 reps). Now he's one of the hottest names late in the process.

That was a valued input by Tepper and somewhat of a no brainer. Regardless, it got the Panthers the best QB in the draft.

I could not have said it any better. However, I feel that Matt Corral will take the high road by giving Bryce Young the # 9 and getting his previous #2 college jersey number.
