  1. I could not have said it better. A large of being a fan is getting excited about present things that are happening to your favorite team (Carolina Panthers) hoping they have improved to the point that you have faith in their future success.
  2. I don't think he got a concussion. That's a big, big plus.
  3. I always thought he was a good OL coach. Just looks like Ron is feeling the heat and wants to shake things up.
  4. What do those lame brain announcers know? Take their opinion with a grain of salt.
  5. My Bryce Young 2023 Season Performance Estimation; 4000 Passing Yards: 3,900 60 % Pass. Pct: 22 Pass. TDs 14 Ints: 350 Rushing Yards: 3 Rush TDs: 92.5 Pass Rating:
  6. Unless Bryce Young has had # 9 his entire football career and it really means a lot to him, he should chose the #2 jersey number. The Panthers first great QB Cam Newton had the # 1 jersey number, so Bryce would be carrying the torch forward by obtaining the # 2 jersey number.
  7. Like you, I was wondering and somewhat worried about the surprised wait. I was somewhat anxious after being excited that the Panthers would select Bryce Young and could not help hoping they had not changed their minds and come up with some off the wall, trade back deal.
  8. Bryce Young is a high-caliber QB and will have plenty of room to grow with the Panthers under HC Frank Reich. Young brings a new level of accuracy, the ability to adapt and overcome pressure, and produce points. His record in college shows he is consistently reliable on the field, a leader that teammates would follow and fight for on the field, something not found during the Rhule era. Young’s ability to make smart plays in both the air and on the ground makes him a smaller but dangerous factor for teams trying to defend him, especially with the weapons he will have on offense. Things are looking bright for the future of the Panthers under the Reich/Young era.
  9. That was some good pictures, especially the clear one of the bobcat. Looks like pretty country, where do you live?
  10. I think his long term health is a concern to all of us because of his slight frame. However, I want to think this negative concern will be counter balanced by the fact defensive players cannot get a firm grasp on him, or a good direct him because he is slippery and has a smaller frame.
  11. You are wise to keep your your cats inside and believe me I know what a chore that can be because they are predators and it comes natural to them to want to be outside and hunt. You were fortunate to lose your cat to the coyote. You fast thinking and timely reactions probably saved its life. Coyotes will mostly travel in pairs when hunting, branching often occasionally then coming back together to double team their prey. You and your cat were also very fortunate that it was just the one coyote and not the usual two.
  12. Sound advise and a wise words of wisdom that I will certainly try to abide by. LOL
  13. Wooo!!! You are really out in the country. Do you live in or near Linville like your name implies?
  14. I am an animal love and I give you a big thumbs for rescuing the feral kitten. I live in the eastern city limits of Gastonia and have lost two cats to Coyotes, so i hope you have better luck with your new kitten.
  15. C.J. Henderson - Carolina Panthers CB It would be a massive surprise if the Carolina Panthers didn't acquire another cornerback relatively early during the 2023 NFL Draft. Those in power have ignored this particular position group in free agency despite some serious concerns, which means it's essential the unit is bolstered in some capacity before the campaign. Perhaps this represents a vote of confidence in underperforming players such as Keith Taylor Jr. and C.J. Henderson. Both failed to meet even modest expectations last season, with their inept performances during Carolina's crunch clash at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17 playing a leading role in the team's eventual demise. Henderson won't be getting his fifth-year option picked up this off-season. This leaves the former first-round selection facing a career crossroads heading into the final year of his rookie deal. The one-time Florida stud was tipped to be the next great shutdown cornerback coming out of college. But questions about his desire and inconsistent production leave Henderson on the brink of becoming an afterthought unless things improve drastically next time around. If the Panthers bring in another capable presence or two via the draft or free agency, the urgency increases further for Henderson. And there will be no sentiment whatsoever in the decision-making process despite what Carolina gave up to acquire him from the Jacksonville Jaguars.
  16. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/nfl-draft-2023-grades-eagles-004629654.html 6. Carolina Panthers (A-) They only landed five players and, hey, second-round WR Jonathan Mingo and/or fifth-round S Jammie Robinson could be winning lottery tickets. But this was all about the bold move following the scouting combine to pry the No. 1 pick from the Bears and turn it into former Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young. And GM Scott Fitterer, HC Frank Reich and owner David Tepper – had they not surrendered a slew of picks and WR DJ Moore – probably would have lost out had they not perhaps overpaid as early as they did. With Tepper's long-awaited QB1 finally in place, should be fun to see what Young can do – especially in a division that seems eminently winnable.
  17. F Eku Leota Finishes 2023 Senior Bowl/NFL Draft Scouting Report, Prediction, analysis The former Auburn standout could surprise some scouts . There was a lot of optimism last season that the former Ashville, NC native would have a splashy year on the Plains after a strong 2021 season. The former third-team all-B1G player was making a name for himself at Auburn, harassing SEC quarterbacks to the tune of 23 tackles, 10.0 TFL, and 7 total sacks. If he could maintain consistency in 2023, there was reason to believe Leota would have a shot at being drafted somewhere in the late third round or early fourth come Draft weekend. Then he suffered a season-ending injury against LSU this year and his final campaign was shut down. While on the field however, he registered 2 sacks and 17 tackles, but a strong Reese's Senior Bowl was needed to put him back in "draftable" conversation. While he didn't register many tackles in the game on Saturday, his practices and interviews with NFL teams may have certainly saved his stock. He may not be a first-round pick, but whoever takes a shot on him will certainly get an easy project to develop into a quality NFL starter. Here's where things stand with the former Auburn, Northwestern, and Ashville High star. EKU LEOTA SCOUTING REPORT HEIGHT: 6-4 WEIGHT: 255 What he does well Everyone who's watched Eku says the same thing about his size: He's NFL-ready with his current height and weight, so there won't be a need to bulk up the defender. Despite his size, Leota was quick to get off the snap and track the ball down, closing the gap between himself and the quarterback or running back. What needs work While he's one of the fastest rushers on the field, he has trouble escaping big-bodied tackles once they get a firm grip on him. His athleticism could use some work, and teams will be wary of the arm injury he sustained in October. Current Projection ROUND 6, SEATTLE SEAHAWKS – Pete Carrol's squad showed they were playoff-ready last year, except the pass rush held them back from keeping opposing offenses off the field. They will look early in the draft to bulk up the defensive line, and Eku could be a late-round gem to add to the rotation so that the Hawks might go deeper in the playoffs next season.
  18. This is tragic and heart breaking. My prayers are extended to Shaq Barrett and family.
  19. Hey man!!! How's the air up there???
  20. The Panthers can pickup someone just as good as Clowney and for less money.
  21. The Panthers came to terms with these 2 undrafted rookie OL right after the draft — OT Ricky Lee (North Carolina A&T) — OG Nash Jensen (North Dakota State).
  22. Yes, it the time of year when the players get tougher and games get rougher.
  23. Looks like the signing were: 9 defense and 4 offense. A pretty good mixture of player positions that needed filled in
