  1. I would be contented and could live with that
  2. Carolina Panthers WR group BY CAT CRAVE Wide receiver is probably the position that will be most discussed for this Carolina Panthers team aside from quarterback and for a good reason. The team traded away one of the league's best and most consistent young pass catchers D.J. Moore with hopes of getting their quarterback of the future, but that may come back to haunt them. Free agent signing Adam Thielen may seem like a steal on the surface given the veteran wideout's previous production. But there is a reason the player was made available. Thielen is squarely in the post-prime of his career and is no longer that No. 1 target that can be relied upon to take over a game. Even with having some of the surest hands in the league by far. Something that should mitigate the failings of Shi Smith in that category a season ago. D.J. Chark is also a nice addition on the outside, giving Carolina some much-needed reliable speed to spread out the defense. However, this seems like a team trying to replace a Swiss army knife with two or three players that only do part of what Moore did so well. Unless pieces like Terrace Marshall Jr. and Laviska Shenault Jr. show flashes of greatness, there isn't that one player for anyone to worry about. And that is a concern.
  3. That was a good overall report by Joe Person. Looks like the Panthers should be trending upward in 2023.
  4. All this flopping to bait those fake foul calls is getting old and out of hand in college and the pros.
  5. What are the new blue uniforms for the Panthers? The current blue will be corrected to “process blue,” which is a similar shade to the end zones of Bank of America Stadium. The shoulder stripes on jerseys will stop short of going under the armpit, accommodating a technological change made by Nike to maximize mobility.
  6. Ted Kaczynski’s belief in his own sanity went all the way back to his 1996 trial when his lawyers attempted to enter an insanity defense, but he rejected the plea. At one point, Kaczynski requested that he be allowed to represent himself on the grounds that his lawyers thought he was mentally ill. Although Kaczynski’s case is an extreme example, the reason behind his lack of insight into his illness is actually quite common amongst people with severe mental illness. Approximately half of all people with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder do not realize they are sick - a condition called anosognosia. Anosognosia, meaning “unawareness of illness,” is a syndrome resulting from anatomical damage to the brain and is the single largest reason behind why some individuals suffering with severe mental illness do not take their prescribed medications. Those affected believe there is nothing wrong with them, even though it is often obvious to those around them. The brains of people who have and do not have anosognosia are different, which is why some people with schizophrenia or bipolar disorder are fully aware of their illness while other people with the conditions are not.
  7. The enormity of the cosmos confronts us with an existential dilemma: There’s a high statistical likelihood of intelligent life-forms having evolved elsewhere in the universe, but a very low probability that we’ll be able to communicate or interact with them.
  8. Start with the number of stars in our galaxy, which is conservatively estimated at 100 billion, though is often cited as three times that. Of those 100 billion, from 20% to 50% probably harbor planetary systems, an estimate that becomes more and more reliable as the Kepler Space Telescope and various ground-based observatories detect increasing numbers of exoplanets. Not all of those exoplanets would be capable of sustaining Earth-like life, so the equation assumes from 1 to 5 in any system could. Of those bio-friendly worlds, from 0% to 100% would actually go on to develop life. And of those world, in turn, from 0% to 100% would develop life forms that we would consider intelligent. The mere existence of intelligent life forms tells us nothing, however, unless they have the ability to make themselves known, which means to manipulate radio waves and other forms of electromagnetic signaling.
  9. I wonder what current NFL player will step up and want a O O number on their jersey?
  10. What does 0 mean on a jersey? For centuries, philosophers and mathematicians have debated whether zero can be considered an actual number, since it technically has no value and is primarily a placeholder. So it's arguable that an athlete wearing No. 0 isn't wearing a number at all.
  11. I would rate Andy Dalton #1 on that list.
  12. A major renovation of the existing BOA Stadium could hinge on a bill in the state legislature to extend existing hospitality taxes until 2060 to provide taxpayer financing.
  13. I plan on going to Atlanta Sept. 10th. Should be a fun game at our rivals house.
  14. I would like to see the Panthers take game 4 at home to keep it going.
  15. With a veteran offense that includes skill players like Adam Thielen, Miles Sanders, and DJ Chark, plus a solid offensive line, there is no reason that QB Bryce Young should not be starting right away.
  16. The fact most NFL players prefer grass fields, and the players’ union has argued that all fields should be grass. but the fact greedy ( show me the money) owners want to cater to soccer and concerts over the health of the football players plainly sucks.
  17. I was hoping the Panthers would sign Floyd but sadly they didn't.
  18. Well, that is a small problem they will have to worry about.
  19. Well, so much for the idea of getting heavier and stronger. LOL
