  1. This was an awesome video on how terrible the Jets offensive line was, plus how confused they caused Darnold to seem while obviously flustrated. Hopefully, with better weapons, coaching and a decent offensive line this was just an once in a career disaster for him and he will have a long successful career with us.
  2. We all realize the Panthers will be in a very tough division in 2021 which will now go through, until proven otherwise, Tom Brady and the Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Matt Rhule’s team will need time to figure themselves out, something you don’t often get in the NFL. A new quarterback, a healthy star player, and new off-season additions will all have to be added to a team still trying to figure out what its identity will be. Once settled in the Panthers will be a top-heavy roster that is well-coached, and plays to its competition. One who wins games with a gun-slinging big-play mentality behind our new quarterback Sam Darnold
  3. Aaron Rodgers is probably tired of being the best player on the Packers and being treated like he is the 4th string right guard. The Packers should give him a new contract with everything he wants for the next three years. If Love could do the job, Rodgers would be gone in three seconds. The Packers have probably figured out Love is an average NFL quarterback who will win 5-7 games a year, thus they are, so to speak, stuck with Rodgers for the next three years, so they should pay what he wants and end this drama.
  4. I am calling BS on the reported Short signing. The Panthers are wanting to rebuild with youth and an aged, injury prone player like him does not fit that type plan.
  5. If Aaron Rodgers has his heels dug in and is willing to miss the start of the 2021 season to get out, the Packers may have no other option than to trade him away and ensure the team receives back fair compensation for one of the most valuable players in football. However, I cannot for the life of me, see the Panthers wrecking their present long term rebuilding program for an aged Rodgers who seems to have turned into a self centered, all about me, head case.
  6. Here's hoping Deonte Brown has a long, successful career with the Panthers and makes a lot of "Bread" as in money.
  7. I hope you are right in your assumption. I also feel Deonte Brown was a steal with our 193rd, 6th rd pick. I have no question about his playing ability as long as he keeps his weigh under control, something that is somewhat of a concern to me.
  8. DEONTE BROWN Guard Carolina Panthers Panthers selected G Deonte Brown with the No. 187 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. Brown (6'3/344) was a 24-game starter in Tuscaloosa that left college with two national championship rings. He’s a force in the run game, combining Herculean raw power and light feet in one enormous package. Brown gave Auburn DT Derrick Brown, a top-10 NFL Draft pick, fits in 2019. But length and movement limitations -- Brown turned in a rough 1.49 RAS score at his pro day workout -- leave him exposed in pass protection against longer, springier interior players. Brown makes for a fearsome road-clearing run-blocker in a gap/power scheme if Carolina can handle the pass pro limitations. The Panthers offensive line was PFF's 19th rated run blocking unit in 2020.
  9. https://draftwire.usatoday.com/gallery/2021-nfl-draft-biggest-steal-every-team-justin-fields-kwity-paye-azeez-ojulari-joseph-ossai-asante-samuel-jr/ The best teams in the NFL win the draft by matching value with need across all seven rounds, and scoring top talent much later than they should have come off the board. Here are our picks for the biggest steal for each of the 32 teams from the 2021 NFL draft: Carolina Panthers--Guard Deonte Brown 193th Overall
  10. The single-digit selection of No. 8, the number Bryant wore in the first half of his NBA career with the Los Angeles Lakers from 1997 to 2006, will certainly be quite a different look in the secondary come game day. Horn also appeared to have considered No. 21 and No. 24, Bryant’s second number he donned from 2007 to 2016, in the process. In the end, we can say he certainly nailed it. His No. 8 may not only signify his exact draft position, but also a true fandom to one of the most influential and impactful athletes in history.
  11. https://www.yahoo.com/news/panthers-first-round-pick-jaycee-113615846.html Jaycee Horn has settled on his jersey number with the Carolina Panthers. Horn announced on social media Saturday night that he will be wearing No. 8 for the Panthers. As part of a new league rule that allows for wider jersey number flexibility, cornerbacks are now able to wear single-digit jerseys. He is wearing the number to honor Kobe Bryant, who wore both 8 and 24 with the Los Angeles Lakers. When asked about No. 24 specifically he said, “It is a great number. It’s definitely in mind. I’m going to look at some of those single digits too though, see how those work out. My brother was talking to me about it on the way over here and changed my mind a little bit so we’ll see how it shakes out.” Horn wore No. 1 and 7 during his time at South Carolina. Other rookies have announced their new numbers with the Panthers. Tight end Tommy Tremble shared he will be wearing No. 82 and fourth-round pick running back Chuba Hubbard will be wearing No. 30, the same as his number at Oklahoma State.
  12. This is not a bad group to build a offensive line from. LT Cameron Erving Brady Christensen Greg Little - LG Pat Elflein Cameron Erving Aaron Monteiro Dennis Daley C Matt Paradis Pat Elflein Sam Tecklenburg - RG John Miller Mike Horton Deonte Brown Martez Ivey RT Taylor Moton Trent Scott
  13. Tommy Tremble projects as an F-tight end in the NFL, a flex weapon that will be best served in an offense that doesn’t charge him with playing with his hand in the dirt. Tremble is a plus athlete who offers the long speed and agility to be dynamic as a pass-catcher, but his production to this point has yet to make the leap that you’d want to see to feel confident that he’s going to develop into an upper-level tight end at some point. Tremble has spent his career at Notre Dame caught behind the likes of Cole Kmet and 2020 freshman star Michael Mayer; he’s been the TE2 who is charged with moving around the set or blocking on the perimeter to set up runs and screens to the outside. Tremble’s potential is significant and his effort as a role player has been admirable, so you’ll feel fairly good that Tremble has the right makeup to stick as a developmental player while working himself into a more prominent role as he continues to mature.
  14. I don't think it was character issues that caused Daviyon Nixons draft stock to drop but more likely his poor showing at Pro Day. After such a dominant junior season, Nixons draft stock skyrocketed as high as 10th overall in some early mock drafts. But after a more earthly pro day outing he began to see his name slide down projections.
  15. Jaycee made headlines when he began wearing No. 1 at South Carolina in 2019 after wearing No. 7 his first season. He’ll make them again if given the opportunity to wear that number with the Panthers. The only player to wear the No. 1 in team history is Cam Newton, the first pick of the 2011 draft. “I’m going to look at some of those single digits, too, see how those work out,’’ Horn said when asked what he thought if No. 24 was available.
  16. Apparently both teams had their eye on LSU wide receiver Terrace Marshall. According to Darin Gantt at the team website, the Panthers were tipped off via phone call that New Orleans was targetting Marshall with the No. 60 overall pick. The Panthers changed course and decided to snag Marshall one spot earlier.
  17. https://www.yahoo.com/sports/report-panthers-were-tipped-off-210033068.html The Panthers and the Saints have shown interest in many of the same players this last year and a half since Joe Brady was hired as offensive coordinator. Brady previously served as an assistant for Sean Payton and runs a similar scheme, so it’s natural that their interests collide – and they certainly have. Last year there was the whole Tommy Stevens saga. Additionally, the Panthers have brought in a number of former Saints players like Tommylee Lewis, Keith Kirkwood and Teddy Bridgewater. A couple months ago the Saints poached long-time Panthers fullback Alex Armah, signing him to a one-year deal. The intrigue continued in the 2021 NFL draft, where apparently both teams had their eye on LSU wide receiver Terrace Marshall. According to Darin Gantt at the team website, the Panthers were tipped off via phone call that New Orleans was targetting Marshall with the No. 60 overall pick. The Panthers changed course and decided to snag Marshall one spot earlier. - ADVERTISEMENT -That’s a nice victory for the Panthers over the Saints, who have won four straight and eight of the last nine meetings between these teams. As for Marshall, we’re projecting he will be the WR3 on the roster behind D.J. Moore and Robby Anderson. During his college career, Marshall lined up both outside and in the slot. Tight end Dan Arnold should offer competition, but it’s not hard to imagine Marshall becoming Sam Darnold’s go-to option in the red zone once he’s up to speed.
  18. Jaycee Horn has a rare combination of size and agility. He’s over six feet and is extremely smooth in and out of breaks. His first step seems to be a lot quicker than any other 6 foot corners this year. I think he was the best one in the draft and worthy of our # 8 pick pick. He is a future pro bowl type player and may wind up as the best CB in Panthers history.
  19. Ri.I.P. Jake Ehlinger. My heart felt sorrow goes out to this family that is hurting after suffering the loss of two loved ones in a short period of time.
