Surprised Hornets are so high tbh

I'll throw some love to Chuba. He's been thoroughly outplaying the guy they paid big money to replace him with.
-
I'd be surprised if Evero stayed on as DC for another coach if passed over for the HC job.

I agree with @*FreeFua* on this. Frank's a diplomatic guy, he's not going to come right out and slam Tepper. But that 100% sounds like, "look, we know what they're good at, but external forces are dictating we not do that." The Athletic reported Tepper wanted the Alabama offense and we don't have the personnel to run that. This is what happens. ETA: Yeah, that passage above this post.

I've always hated the "Wilks is just another _____" thing. That's total projection. If you go by the actual facts on the field, he resurrected a team that looked DOA. If Eddy doesn't get the yips in Atlanta, Wilks is 7-5, wins the division, and makes the playoffs AFTER having to put out Rhule's dumpster fire. He never even got his own offseason, his own staff, or his own draft picks. Even the most anti-Wilks people have to admit that if it was an "opportunity" from Tepper, he absolutely stepped up. But because Wilks wasn't going to throw the ball 50 times a game, he never stood a chance.

For people who haven’t seen the movie (you should, it’s hilarious): Rachel Phelps takes ownership of the Cleveland Indians, jettisons all their good players, with the long-term plan of being so bad that fans stop coming so she can move the team to another city. Sounds pretty familiar, right? I mean, I’m only half-kidding. From trying to phase out Keep Pounding to continually fielding atrocious teams, it’s almost like he hates Charlotte. Fortunately for him, we hate him too.

Will Someone Actually Be Fired on Monday?
Dorian Gray replied to Hoenheim's topic in Carolina Panthers
I actually do think he'll fire Frank tomorrow and promote Evero. This was embarrassing on every level - the game itself, the chatter around the game, the Cowboy fans taking over the stadium. Tepper has a huge ego but he also has zero patience. That might be enough. -
I argued this for pages and pages a couple of weeks ago and kept being told his mindset was too "archaic" for today's NFL despite him actually winning games last year with a staff and roster he inherited with no prep. Wilks actually understood what this team was built for - downhill running and then play action. So what happens if we fire Frank, promote Evero, and he does the same solid job Wilks did? Will he be jettisoned too because he's not an offensive coach? Tepper freaking SUCKS.

We’re dumb, bad, and boring. There’s literally nothing to get excited about.

Beating us shouldn’t even count as a win. This is like when Georgia and Alabama play FCS teams. -
Anybody see AT standing with Bryce, showing him what the defense was doing, mapping it out with his hands? While Frank stares directly into the sun eating glue.

Greg’s gonna be dying inside watching this. -
Chip Kelly supposed to get fired after this season, but will finish with a better record than Lincoln Riley with a worse roster that’s had to use 3 different QBs this year.

“I don’t know why they haven’t moved him (Ickey) to guard yet”
Dorian Gray replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Giants fans seem really disappointed in Evan Neal (and he’s even taken shots at them in interviews) so at least we avoided that I guess. Cross, who went behind both Neal and Icky, may end up being the best of the group. -
I actually thought that too. Could be falling on the sword knowing Sunday is gonna be a bloodbath.

How many "retread" head coaches actually pan out?!?
Dorian Gray replied to TheBigKat's topic in Carolina Panthers
Belichick after being fired from Cleveland, unless you want to say that was all Tommy B. Technically Dan Campbell since he was an interim in Miami and wasn't retained. I think Doug Pederson has done a decent job in Jacksonville, although they've been up and down. Still a lot better than they were. But you're right about him having success in his first gig. Pete Carroll was fired by New England and won a SB with Seattle (and some natties with USC). But yeah, it's mostly a crapshoot, and I agree Reich didn't show anything in Indianapolis that would lead someone to believe he'd suddenly be a superstar here. But I honestly didn't expect him to be THIS bad. -
I think one thing we can all agree on - Houston going from a broken-down sexual predator to CJ Stroud is one of the best upgrades in recent NFL history.

I like what a weirdo McDaniel is, so I've been rooting for Miami in the AFC. And I like what a chad Dan Campbell is, so I've been rooting for Detroit in the NFC. Basically I like unique coaches I guess.

Albert Breer: both Reich and Fitterer back in ‘24
Dorian Gray replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
You can't hire a new GM and force him to keep Frank, that's asinine. You either keep them both, or can them both. It's a shid sandwich of a situation because if you fire them both, you're probably not going to get any good names interested because we don't have a first round pick and it looks like Tepper has no patience and will fire you for one bad year. If you don't fire them both, Fitt will start making desperation trades to save his job which will tank our future even further, while it's clear Frank has no idea how to develop Bryce. An absolute mess with Tepper as the garbage architect.
