Stroud single-handedly keeping that 2023 QB class from being one of the worst in history. Bryce, AR, Levis, just an absolute trash pile of busts.

Jets offense (Hackett) -- 27th in the league in YPG Jets defense (Saleh) -- 2nd in the league in YPG And they replace... Saleh. Must be nice being Aaron's BFF.

Mrs. Rhule > Fitt -
All we heard all week was: "It's an organizational failure." "He needs more time." "Nobody could succeed there." "He has no weapons." "The offensive line can't protect anyone." Dalton has proven for the SECOND time that none of that is true. But because Bryce looks like he's 11, I think people want to coddle him and give him the benefit of the doubt. It was such fanbase gaslighting.

Carolina Panthers @ Las Vegas Raiders Gameday Thread

Can't believe I'm asking this but... do you pull Dalton now? Don't want our king getting hurt in garbage time. -
Carolina Panthers @ Las Vegas Raiders Gameday Thread

They can’t tee off on the running game because Dalton can throw downfield. Helps the run game. Helps the line. Helps the pass game. Helps the defense because they’re not constantly on the field. It really all goes back to having a competent quarterback. -

If all these "personnel people" think he's still good and it's all our fault, feel free to send some draft picks our way. Spoiler: They won't, because they know he sucks too. -

There doesn't seem to be a Caleb Williams in this draft and there are 5 or 6 QBs projected around the same (1st round). Beck, Ward, Moss, Sanders, Ewers...unless Dalton goes on a Flacco-esque playoff run, at least one of those guys will be available if Canales wants them.

The 2025 QB free agents, who would you sign?
Dorian Gray replied to Jmac's topic in Carolina Panthers
I would be curious to see how Canales would do with Jameis. Jameis would be the same age Geno was when Canales started bringing him back from the dead and, from a purely physical talent standpoint, Jameis has more natural tools than Geno had. Of course you'd likely get one of his incredible 30 TDs, 30 INTs seasons, but hell at least he'd throw it down the field. -
Not sure if y'all remember when Rosen was going through the combine, he was praised for how cerebral he was. He obviously had better physical traits than Bryce, but his football IQ was what everyone raved about. He was drafted in the first round by Arizona and was fuging terrible. The Cardinals gave up on him after one year and the national media piled on them, making all kinds of excuses for Rosen like his surrounding cast was bad, his coaching was bad, he wasn't given time, etc etc etc The Cardinals went on to draft Kyler, who was an exponential upgrade, and Josh Rosen is selling real estate or something now. It's obvious the national media doesn't watch bad teams, and just assume that because the franchise is terrible, that's what's making the player terrible. When in actuality, Dave Canales - who helped resurrect Geno Smith and improve Baker Mayfield - saw enough in TWO GAMES worth of tape to know Bryce isn't it. I think a coach making that kind of call this early should be celebrated for trying to improve the team instead of clowned because he didn't give Bryce enough time.

Yeah, I know, he’s making millions and is in the NFL. I know the responses. But man, he seems like such a good kid. I remember that video of him on draft night walking to speak to the media, hearing CJ’s name called at #2, and turning around to cheer on his guy. Or the clip of him and his parents seeing his jersey in his locker for the first time, and how proud they all were. I’m not giving up on him here, but I HATE seeing him on ESPN, FS1, Other Hot Take Shows used as “The Reason” everyone is getting fired and how he’s this or that and will never amount to anything. Kinda bums me out tbh.

Hell, just make the staff nothing but 2015 guys. Greg, Cam, Luke, TD, Cotchery. At least when we look on the sidelines we’ll remember happiness for a second.

Lowest point in team history btw
Dorian Gray replied to electro's horse's topic in Carolina Panthers
Having followed this franchise from the start, I have to agree. It’s a combination of a lot of things. 1. Obviously being the worst team in the league. 2. No first round pick to fall back on. 3. No young difference-makers who could become superstars. 4. Bryce regressing. 5. Firing a coach in-season for the second straight year. 6. The same guy who fired the bad coaches was the one who’ll be hiring the next one. 7. A roster in shambles because it’s so poorly constructed. There’s honestly not a single “light at the end of the tunnel” thing you can point to right now. -
Frank Reich Fired as Panthers HC - Official
Dorian Gray replied to NJPanthers12's topic in Carolina Panthers
Peter Schrager just said on Good Morning Football it was Tepper “ripping the band-aid” off now because it doesn’t count against the cap, he has unlimited money, and it clearly wasn’t working. He didn’t seem to think it would doom us during our next hire, but did say he expected a “bloodbath” around the league this offseason with a ton of positions open, all probably more attractive than this one. He said he hasn’t spoken to Tepper today but they do talk frequently and Bryce’s regression was a bigger deal than wins and losses. Schrager said Bryce looks nervous and nothing like the confident guy he saw at Alabama. -

Reiterate that Buffalo played scared to end regulation. That hardly ever works out. -

I remember when Philly fans were in an absolute rage they drafted Jalen Hurts when they already had Carson Wentz. Called it a wasted pick. Good times. -

Cam used to get missiled in the head and not get a call, but other dudes get flags for getting pushed too hard.
