    My SC bias aside. In this type of offense a gadget reciever like that is a good idea. But I figured that was the purpose of Jimmy Horn.

    Where were picking in the draft is typically where the best center in the draft tends to go so.. maybe?

    Im fine extending him. I just hope hes fine with getting a lower tiered contract so if someone outplays him you have a good priced backup.

    I was fine with the pick. Offense gets enough bail outs as it is. But the PI calls were ridiculous at least in that situation you gotta let em play.

    Its hard to get College open. It seems later in the year though he started to get it a bit and did take a few more shots.

    Thats right. I knew it was mark something. You basically knew exactly what you were gonna get. Even on kickoff he'd basically get to the 25 or 30 and get back on the bench.

    Can we find a guy to return that doesn't let the ball smack him in the face. I miss Mark Hampton (iirc) Dude just caught the ball and got 10 damn near every time.

    The point would be to be a head coach. Help build and shape and develop a full roster not just call a mediocre offense.

    Hindsight would say to trade him of course . But at the time we were all saying ride him straight into the playoffs before he got banged up. Its hard to be upset with them for not making that move.

    Well that's typically what gets most every coordinator their HC job if we're being fair. But only certain head coaches have proven they can do it at a high level. His main priority is game time management and building the type of locker room culture to implement his teachings across the board.

    And also God yes on going back to the 4-3. Most teams base defense at this point is nickle or multiple anyhow but I've never been a fan of a 3-4 setup.
