  1. We said the same thing about David Carr and Jimmy Clausen
  2. He is. Broncos are asking to interview him, and he's been also linked to Vikings and Bears jobs too
  3. The recent assistant coaches that were fired were "Matt Rhule decisions" and not organizational decisions according to him
  4. Asked on the mid day show about if Jeff Nixon is a candidate for the OC job: "He did a great job for us..." I missed the rest of the quote because I was choking on my water that I was sipping
  5. I could see Darnolds forehead getting bigger as he ages but that’s about the only way he resembles Peyton Manning
  6. He’s got interviews already lined up with 3 teams already, definitely one of the hottest names out there. Jacksonville and Chicago are two of them meaning he’d either get to work with Lawrence or Fields. I’d think Jacksonville would make sense with him having made Blake Bortles look good.
  7. According to the guys on 610, Tepper is supposed to speak after we hire an OC
  8. “We are going to play physical football and are going to be an attacking offense and defense”
  9. I mean there’s a whole thread on the front page with 11 pages created for fans that want discussion about being checked out, but this guy needs his own thread, because….reasons
  10. Actually, forgot about Fangio who got fired Saturday…that’s another one who beat rhule. Still keeps the average defeat above double digits.
  11. Fun fact, all 3 fired coaches today plus the other coach most likely to get axed next (Joe Judge) all have beaten Matt Rhule by an average of two touchdowns
  12. No, it's worse, he'll probably trade our next two first rounders to move up in this draft and take some player that used to mow his and his assistant coaches' lawns as a kid.
  13. It's funny that these guys in one breath think that we need to see another dogshit season from Rhule/Darnold even though neither one of them have accomplished anything of note, yet they think it's 100% that the Vikings have to move on from Mike Zimmer/Kirk Cousins. Not that I disagree that Zimmer/Cousins have run their course like Rivera did here, but what have you seen from either of these two that scream out "Super Bowl contender in next 2-3 years"?
  14. It’s not even close IMO. They still have a high second round pick and two high third round picks (one that they got from us to take a player they didn’t want) and their QB is on a rookie deal.
  15. This sounds like a guy who will be great on rhules next coaching staff in the PAC 12
  16. Nah, get Rhule the f out of here. New coaching staff can get assurances that we know we are fuged for 2022, but to play young players, with an eye towards 2023. Another year for Rhule leads to desperation on his part to try to even do more short sighted stuff, ie trade away future picks for current players like he did with darnold.
  17. Just imagine if they have Aaron Rodgers then
  18. Doubt a 4th round rookie QB is even worth it. Best player available that hopefully is another offensive lineman
  19. As mentioned a million times, passing the ball isn't the only thing a QB does. But even then, just because Jake is less athletic than Cam, it doesn't automatically make him a better passer. If he's "much better" than why is Cam's career completion percentage, passing TD to INT ratio better, and yards per attempt identical? And that is not even factoring what Cam brings to the table with his ability to scramble.
  20. Says the guy who says prime Jake was better than prime Cam
  21. The head coach that presided over how many games wher his team had over a 99% chance of winning? We can do better.
  22. It’s so stupid because Jake himself would admit that Cam was a far better QB than him. But some guys like Catsfan see a lot of their self in the plucky aw shucks underdog without as much natural talent and can’t identify with the confident strong guy who goes against their stereotypes of what a QB “should be”. You can tell where they are going as soon as they start throwing out win/loss records as an individual stat but somehow discounting being MVP of the entire league. Almost guaranteed this guy would have been more comfortable with Derek Anderson than Cam in his prime. You will continue to see this when potential QBs are discussed this off season, they don’t want any QB who isn’t a pocket statue because they’re “less accurate” and “can’t read a defense” and will immediately compare every QB that fits that mold to Brady even though he is the exception rather than the rule in this day and age.
