I had a Jets fan tell me yesterday that he wished they would have just kept Darnold and let him play out his last year as a bridge QB (and of course not give him the 5th year option), then taken the trade that the Niners gave up for Lance and use some of those pieces to move back up to get Fields and let him start the year behind Darnold with Flacco in the QB room as well. Hard to argue that wouldn't have been a better result.

I love how it changed from “All Sam needs is a better offensive line” and he will be great to “All Sam needs is hall of fame receivers/TEs” and he will be great. I thought a former #3 overall pick and 18 million dollar contract would mean he’d be someone who would elevate the talent around him, rather than a guy who we have to scheme around with the same game plan we would give PJ Walker.

Also the largest blown lead in an NFC championship game (17 points against the niners) and for an international game (21 points against the lions)

No he didn’t, and he’s still coaching. Do not want FYI https://www.denverbroncos.com/team/coaches-roster/dom-capers Dom Capers enters his first season as senior defensive assistant for the Denver Broncos in 2022. He was hired by the club on Feb. 8.

The “Maybe Not So Obvious” Elephant in the Room
X-Clown replied to WarHeel's topic in Carolina Panthers
I guess then that means if you don’t follow them to every road game you don’t get to complain either because you’re not there to disburse your energy to help the DBs cover receivers or explain to the coaches that the defensive line needs to maintain gap integrity and/or don’t have the QB run a draw on 3rd and 9. -

I knew it, the answer is no. So many people who don’t go to the games need to comment on people who actually buy the tickets and tell them what they should do rather than do something about it themselves. -

So maybe you should stop "fan shaming" people who don't go to games if you don't go yourself. Just a thought. -

I was. Nice dodge of the question. -

The fact that this is even a discussion is pitiful

Getting swept by McDaniels pretty much says it all
-
Kingsbury does suck too, don't get me wrong. But McDaniels lost to Kingsbury after blowing a 20 point half time lead and a 16 point 4th quarter lead. McDaniels also has two other blown leads of 17 points, the 13 point lead with 3 minutes left against a bad Rams team that had a QB who knew 6 plays, and lost to a team that just hired an ESPN analyst as coach in his first game. Hackett is an offensive guy who might have the worst offense in the league with an HOF QB.

Nathaniel Hackett and Josh McDaniels would like a word with you

It’s more a clowning of our poo coaching staff than a crowning of baker. Just pure coincidence that he looked like he Clausen while he was here and looked like an actual NFL QB after 2 days of joining a new team

TJ Hockenson to the Vikings

And? There were so many better options that were available, both at his position and at others. He's a great coach, but call it what it was, overdrafting of a great college player that turned out be a disappointing pro given where he was drafted.

Matt Rhule: “I wish I never took the job”
X-Clown replied to CashNewton22's topic in Carolina Panthers
He's a narcissist, feels like he needs to control his narrative to the world even though people see through it. He badly needs a PR person to tell him when to shut up and what to say, he should never talk off script. -
Even so, Reggie Bush was not even close to being worth the #2 overall pick in the draft.
