  1. I feel like he got more hate on here than he deserved. I get that part of it is because he was a Rhule guy.
  2. Also it’s the name of the star running back from the movie Friday Night Lights
  3. Have to have the illusion of competing I guess
  4. The Matthew Stafford package had to be two firsts so they could dump Jared Goffs contract. But the packers have the jets by the balls now because Rodgers waited so long to decide what he wants. They missed Carr and Jimmy g and surely don’t want to trot out wentz or Ryan with this team.
  5. Man, like every coach in the league would be fired under these circumstances
  6. I mean three seasons or playoffs is pretty much the rule for any head coach.
  7. I wouldn’t have an issue with them signing Lazard, he’s very underrated. But bringing in Randall Cobb in the slot when you have a more explosive player like Elijah Moore on a rookie deal and Marcedes Lewis who has played long enough to wear a leather helmet? Yikes.
  8. guess someone at wikipedia screwed up. https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/3051388/vonn-bell
  9. Add Dak Prescott, Lamar Jackson, and RG3. Before you asterisk jackson for only starting half the season, they won 6 out of the 7 games he started vs Flacco who was 4-5. And while they didn’t win their division, mac jones, luck, Andy Dalton, mark Sanchez, joe Flacco, and Matt Ryan all made the playoffs in year 1.
  10. The Huddle before the 2021 draft "Wait until 2022, let's be patient and we will end up with an even better QB than any in this class like Spencer Rattler or Sam Howell"
  11. Toney wasn’t an FA, midseason trade for a 3rd and 6th
  12. No he didn’t. John Fox was Tebows coach when they made the playoffs. McDaniels was fired the previous year.
  13. They started off really bad but improved as the season went along. They ended up having the top rusher in the entire league.
  14. You can say whatever you want too. Doesn’t mean you are correct. What exactly did the eagles defense do in this game to help them win? 31 points given up despite the chiefs only converting 4 3rd downs (facing 8 of them), No sacks, no turnovers, 6 yards per carry, two walk in touchdowns on the same play call, guys running wide open against a QB that was playing on one leg in the second half. It wasn’t the chiefs video game offense of the past with hill destroying people over the top, and the eagles defense was not a group of untalented JAGs that are just supposed to be there to keep the field warm. This tells me that the outcoaching was chiefs offense vs Phillys defense/DC. The offense scored 35 points, had over 400 yards, converted 3rd and 4th downs at 65%, won time of possession (so please don’t come at me with the defense is tired argument). The one mistake that hurt them was a fluky fumble on third down that went for 6. I get that you’ve dug your heels in making this reactionary thread, but you’re not convincing me (or most anyone else) that Steichen sucks, it’s his and the offenses primary fault the eagles lost. If you didn’t want him as a coach that’s fine, but why not apply these standards to one of the guys you’re arguing for in Kafka who managed 7 whole points a few weeks ago against the same group?
  15. So Steichen is a bum even though the offense scored 35 points is what you’re saying. Good take Skip.
  16. The very end equals over 5 minutes left in the game? You do realize they only had three possessions in the second half save the one with 8 seconds left and no time outs and 64 yards needed? One drive was a three and out, other two were for 60 and 75 yards. I’m not sure how you pin the loss on the eagles offense in the second half when it was their second ranked defense that led the league in sacks not bringing down mahomes once the entire game, allowing 6 yards per carry and their special teams allowing the longest punt return in Super Bowl history.
