  1. They paid even less for okudah and his issue was injuries more than poo play. Of course, that’s just one addition they’ve made as referenced above. I don’t know if it will work but there is reasonable cause to believe that their defense will be better with changes just as it is that our offense could be better.
  2. The falcons have added a lot on defense this off-season, so they “should” be better on that side of the ball. I think we’d be pretty hyped if we added Jessie Bates, Calais Campbell, David Onyemata, and getting a former #3 overall pick in Jeff Okudah for peanuts with a new DC.
  3. I equally hate both the saints and falcons. Their fan bases would say they are each others biggest rival.
  4. Yeah I’m not buying that for a second lol, he wouldn’t have dodged the question the first time, complained about 2.5 hours being too long to commute to a game and then changed course to talk about “hearing it on TV”. Considering one of the five years was during the pandemic with limited capacity, and the last 2 were when we were mostly poo, I call shenanigans.
  5. It’s very typical that people who complain about the fans in person being this or that don’t go to the game themselves. Just as I thought..
  6. Notice you didn't answer my question about how many games you showed up for in the last 5 years
  7. Oh man who can forget everyone’s favorite #2 receiver Legedu “Legatron” Naanee, and “Donald” Lafell
  8. In that thread, several people said “He’s the next Steve Smith!”. This is a theme that you see on this board for any receiver we have had who is under 5’11” and has a returned a kick or punt with a bit of success and caught a pass or 2.
  9. We might need to do a wellness check on ripadonn. Between us taking young, Levis falling, and corrals Instagram post, he has to be falling apart.
  10. Lol, manziel was a sure fire prospect? Only was picked in the first round because the browns owner was persuaded by a homeless man to take him.
  11. Had Rhule been here in 2011, he would have pushed to draft someone like Marcel Dareus, because this is a process and rolled with Derek Anderson. As much as I wasn’t a fan of Rivera by the end of his tenure, you can thank him for playing a big role in us getting Cam. Didn’t realize that we weren’t set on drafting Cam within 48 hours of the draft until I read this article about this years Draft process… There wasn’t clarity at this point in 2011, the last time Carolina had the top pick. The staff was divided on whether to take Auburn quarterback Cam Newton to the point the situation had become volatile during a meeting less than 48 hours before the draft, according to a person who was in the room that day. There were questions about Newton’s decision-making and his unique style as a dual-threat quarterback. There were questions about his character going back to his freshman year at Florida, when he stole a laptop, and later when he was accused of having a pay-for-play plan to go to Mississippi State. Then-first year coach Ron Rivera angrily told everyone in the room he was tired of hearing what Newton couldn’t do for the organization and demanded they focus on what Newton could do. https://www.espn.com/blog/carolina-panthers/post/_/id/37621/how-panthers-no-1-pick-process-has-been-different-this-time-around
  12. That’s a better three picks than Burns, Little and Grier who were telegraphed before the draft.
  13. There was no rush to start Mahomes because they were 12-4 in the previous season with Alex Smith, and started off 5-0 and ended up winning the division/making the playoffs his rookie year. He may have been ready to play, but they had the luxury of waiting since the team around him was good and Smith could game manage well enough. I don’t see that situation being the same here.
  14. Uh oh, he is going to be a Steeler because he's following Kenny Pickett
  15. Most people said the same thing about Alabama QBs 5 years ago
  16. Hey I read a meme about something that factually is true but has no influence on the future, so here's a new thread where I use that to support my opinion despite there being dozens of other threads discussing the same topic Never change huddle
  17. Lol this is such an absurd take. Over nine years, he had one excellent wide receiver for his first 3 years (Steve Smith). In his prime, his "#1 receivers" were Kelvin Benjamin, Ted Ginn and Devin Funchess. Not to mention the Shula offense which was reliant on his threat to run, of course he wasn't going to lead the league in passing yards. And the offensive line, we just wanted functional - rather than relying on dudes like Matt Kalil, Chris Clark, Byron Bell, Nate Chandler, and Brian Folkerts to protect your best asset. Imagine if we surrounded this new rookie QB with trash like that how mad we'd be.
  18. I just found the thread for the Smith PC. Amazing stuff https://www.blowoutforums.com/showthread.php?t=1321518
