  1. Moore and Darnold have more wins, Teddy has more yards. Honestly those four were the hardest to rank off the whole list. Like their best stretch of football they were good enough game managers, but crumbled once there was more pressure out on their shoulders.
  2. 86 TDs vs 50 INTs as a Panther before the passing rules became more favorable. I’d sign up for that right now, no questions asked.
  3. I hate darnold as much as anybody and it pained me to even write his name but Vinny only started 6 games for us and DA just 4.
  4. Hey don’t besmirch the name of Steve Beuerlein like that. The other 21 are fair game
  5. I got this idea from seeing a fans ranking of all 36 starting QBs that the Browns have gone through so far and it kept my mind off what is going to happen to us tomorrow. We have had 24 quarterbacks that started at least one regular season game for us in our team’s history. Based strictly on their Panthers career up to this point, how would you rank them? Here are your starters, listed first by when they played: Frank Reich Kerry Collins Steve Beuerlein Chris Weinke Matt Lytle Rodney Peete Randy Fasani Jake Delhomme Vinny Testaverde David Carr Matt Moore Jimmy Clausen Brian St. Pierre Cam Newton Derek Anderson Taylor Heinicke Kyle Allen Will Grier Teddy Bridgewater PJ Walker Sam Darnold Baker Mayfield Bryce Young Andy Dalton Here is what I came up with. Again I’m listing by what they’ve accomplished in their time as a panther, not overall career elsewhere or general ability. Hence why I have Andy Dalton ranked below Clausen, Carr etc since he’s only started one game up to this point. Also this is not meant to be an indictment on Bryce, he has a lot of factors working against him and obviously is just getting started. And yes this did get really sad to try to rank after the top 4. Cam Newton Jake Delhomme Steve Beuerlein Kerry Collins Rodney Peete Sam Darnold Matt Moore Teddy Bridgewater Derek Anderson Kyle Allen Bryce Young Baker Mayfield PJ Walker Vinny Testaverde Chris Weinke David Carr Jimmy Clausen Andy Dalton Taylor Heinicke Frank Reich Will Grier Brian St. Pierre Matt Lytle Randy Fasani
  6. It would have been nice had they practiced this before the Seattle game
  7. I’d love to see it happen, believe me. I just have a hard time believing that Micah Parsons and company aren’t going to turn this into another game that looks like the two they played against the Giants. They tend to fatten up their record against bad teams, and well, that’s us.
  8. John Skelton would be mad that you confused him with Ryan Lindley. The Cardinals that day had a total of 78 yards of offense, lowest in NFL history for a playoff game
  9. What’s gonna be really funny is he will end up coaching the Bears
  10. I wish I could remember who it was that challenged several people to a fight on South Tryon street, that was insane. I wondered why Grits was gone for good, he got banned under at least a dozen usernames but within about 2 or 3 posts people would figure out it was him when he’d come back. I actually saw his name on the comments section of an article from the rock hill herald about the panthers a couple of months ago. I’m sure he has some scorching takes about the commanders having to change their name.
  11. Even if that’s true, what would have happened next? We would have gotten boat raced by the Cowboys in a home playoff game.
  12. Better off right now, yes. But likely a ceiling of 8-9 wins this year and 38 million a year through 2026 for a QB who is middle of the road on his best day? Is that not a repeat of what we have done and failed with since Cam left? Agreed on everything else though - there’s no coherent strategy, the front office keeps misevaluating where they stand as a team and making moves accordingly. It’s mind boggling that they didn’t do a true rebuild at any point since 2019
  13. My theory: Tepper chose what he thought was a middle ground between the two sides of the fan base on what they wanted. One faction wanted Steve Wilks, the other faction wanted an offensive mind to develop a new QB. One of the things that people loved about Wilks was that he was a Charlotte guy, and had ties to the franchise from the past. He picks Frank because it’s a guy with a background in offense and is a former panther so both boxes are checked. Pretty sure he wants a Time Machine to go back and fix that one.
  14. I don’t buy the narrative that the Texans “ruined” Carr. There’s a strong chance that he wasn’t that good in the first place. If Bryce is as physically and mentally tough as we think it is, he should be getting as many reps as he can for the future. If our coaches can’t stop him or any other QB from getting “decimated” then they don’t need to be here.
  15. I am well aware of what the counting stats say for Collins but if you ever watched him play before this year you would understand that he played on a bad offense, showed promise and wasn’t “ass” as the other guy pointed out. And guess what TheRed? There can be nuances to these discussions. So far it looks like the Texans have the better QB…I’ve never said anything different so you can stop trying to once again read words that aren’t on the screen.
  16. Woods was a Tennessee titan last year and LA Ram the year before that and Nico Collins was showing signs of coming on in his 2nd year which was last year. PFF predicted his breakout this off-season. Collins might have already had a breakout season in 2022 if not for a couple of injuries and below-par quarterback play. His 72.4 PFF grade ranked only 35th among wide receivers last season; however, passes going his way were completed only 56.9% of the time, the 10th-lowest rate in the NFL despite Collins not dropping a single target all season. In fact, he was just one of nine receivers not to drop a pass among players with at least 50 targets last season. https://www.pff.com/news/nfl-breakout-candidates-all-16-afc-teams-chiefs-kadarius-toney-steelers-kenny-pickett The Texans have also been 3 different head coaches and offensive coordinators the last 3 years so not sure how you can claim it’s the same offense just with a different QB.
  17. When leaky faucet dropped the nugget that Franks preferred choice was to sign Derek Carr rather than draft a QB at all, that should have clued us in what he’s about. You would think after that approach has failed him so often in Indy and knowing how many times it’s burned us over the last several years that it’s just not a fit. Steichen who has the track record of developing QBs in recent years would have made much more sense.
  18. He has been over both the completion percentage you mentioned every single game, and more than 150 in every game except Atlanta in week 1 where he was 4 yards short. Might wanna push the goalposts further out.
  19. The saints fan blamed Phil for the low turnout and got so legit mad he wanted to fight, it was priceless. I never had a single issue with Phil, his feud with that guy and Alice were legendary.
  20. What exactly are we protesting and what is the goal of this? Like do they expect tepper to come out and throw his hands up and say “Alright, I can’t take all this noise, I’ll selling the team to you guys for $1, just don’t make me listen to it anymore”. Sidenote: Remember when Saints fans tried to have a protest for Bountygate’s penalties and PhillyB trolled the Facebook page bad enough that the organizer challenged him to a fight? I think like 15 people showed up including Alice.
  21. Rashee Rice is getting better by the week, don't be surprised if he starts to take off in the second half of his rookie year
