  1. I think Stroud fits Reich's offense the best and think he should be the favorite, but Young is going to be very good in the NFL for a long time. I worry about Young's Deep Ball more than his size, I dont think he's going to be hit enough to really have a huge injury risk, especially after seeing a number of short small guys survive fine in the NFL. I like both of these guys a lot, and while they have questions I think both have some elite traits that can be developed to become a very good QB for us for a long time.
  2. Us doing this before FA was really important for both of us. A lot easier to stomach losing DJ when you still have time to add weapons. Also not having to pay up for a Starting QB this year helps open up the books for us to improve other places.
  3. If Tepper let Rhule skip Fields I have no doubt he’ll let Reich pick his QB. At least no one is talking about Levis.
  4. The Young Lion will Roar one day don’t you worry.
  5. I hope its not the case, but there is a relatively decent shot even if he makes it to training camp he doesn't make the roster. No loyalty with the new staff and they are going to have other priorities.
  6. The Philly QB sneak is why I keep coming back to Levis and Richardson for Indy. Can Steichen really quit something that effective?
  7. I think Stroud even has one when handling pressure, i think toward the end of the year he improved with it and it definitely showed out in the Georgia game but a number of games you can see it and it can be concerning. I think our ascending Oline can be a nice boon for him though in terms of continuing to improve without being ruined. I do think he's the best fit for us. I've become a lot more comfortable with Bryce's size and have him pretty planted as my no. 1 QB. I'm honestly a little more worried about his arm than I am his size but I think he's going to be a pain in the ass to defend in the NFL for a long time. The longer I go the more I think it needs to just be one of those two. But i'm just firmly team QB so i'll learn to be happy with anyone we take.
  8. I think in 2021 he actually was pretty exciting when he decided to run the ball honestly, he definitely had a different gear when his foot wasnt hurt. Think he ran a little too reckless but thats his personality.
  9. Kylers big injury was non contact, he missed 5 games total before that in 4 Seasons and most of those were from pulling his hamstring which isnt really a contact related injury generally. Doesnt really feel like his problems are really size related and he runs a lot more than Bryce would. Most the small QBs i've looked at didnt really get hurt at some ridiculous rate either. Bryce generally doesnt run and is pretty effective at moving in the pocket to protect himself from big hits. Size is a concern but it feels a tad overblown at times.
  10. Yeah the fact of 50% of those QBs were first rounders vs the population size of total drafted QBs is a giant indicator that first round pick QBs are a significantly more efficient way to go about finding your QB.
  11. These quotes feel like they can fit both Richardson and Levis tbh.
  12. It’s true but the same mental issues pop up in 2021 a lot which is the disheartening part.
  13. I personally worry about his play style more than I do Bryce's size as well, guy when he's healthy lays his body on the line a lot which while commendable has clearly already worn on him in college. Its not easy to change that mentality and it concerns me on longevity.
  14. The more I look into it the more comfortable I get with his frame. It’s a risk but not sure it much more of a risk in reality than any of these guys flaws. His talents definitely more than make up for it in my eyes.
  15. End of the day for me Levis where I don’t have to give up a future first to draft him is actually an interesting upside move that I can see myself being optimistic about while understanding the downside. Levis where I also have to sacrifice a first or two becomes a lot more of a pit in my stomach in terms of dread. I’m sure I’ll stay open minded regardless knowing myself though.
  16. I agree with you completely on all of this. I like fast processors who throw accurate passes, I think end of the day that’s what wins over anything else.
  17. Stafford in college was a lit more of a live arm gunslinger tbh. Really him and Levis have very similar looking college stats. I think Levis had a better completion % and a lower average yard per attempt.
  18. I’ll say the majority of Draft Twitter/Reddit seems to really dislike him. A lot of this probably has to do with his hype coming into the year vs what he put on tape this Season. People generally watch and form strong opinions on small sample sizes especially if it confirms priors. I think a lot of people in here seem to have given him a bit deeper of a dive and it’s nice.
  19. Back in my day Zach Wilson was Kyle Boller!
  20. Franklin is pretty loyal to QBs I don’t think he thought there was a path to beating Clifford out and was tired of being used as a Wildcat QB. I don’t really hold it against him personally, I know some do but I thought Levis generally looked good when he came in for Clifford.
  21. I do see a lot of Locker in him, but that’s not necessarily a negative as a prospect. If he can be developed it could turn out positive. I just have no clue why you’d take him over Young or Stroud, especially when I think his biggest issue is similar to Strouds biggest issue in terms of managing pressure but Stroud actually has tape showing him improve in that area and Levis just seems to have gotten worse.
  22. I want to like Levis as I watch him and I think he has a profile that should be really easy to like. I’ve watched more Levis tape than most of the QBs combined. Everytime I think I’ve decided I’m in another example of him not having any sense for pressure and him processing a few ticks slow pops up and I just can’t buy in. Some things I think are very important and separate the good QBs from the meh QBs is how they see the field and how they manage the pocket and pressure and it’s his two biggest flaws imo. He 100% had talent issues around him this year and I think Rich Scangarello is horrible and did him zero favors. When I look at 2021 tape I see the same issues as well, I don’t know if it’s arm overconfidence or what but he seems to see the open receiver and then wait a second or two before he wants to throw it and it really causes a ton of his accuracy issues, maybe he doesn’t trust himself I don’t know. He also tends to cause some of the pressure he receives by not having a feel of where people are in the pocket. I’d be fine taking him but I think in terms of him vs ARich his flaws have been historically harder to fix than ARich’s and I think ARich in the pocket is night and day better. There is something to work with but I don’t think he’s going to be a top 10 QB ever personally and will always be someone dependent on a top tier oline to be successful.
  23. That Corral injury definitely sticks in the back of my head as well, such a disappointment.
  24. There are some studies that even show per game injuries are higher for heavier players at their positions, but I’m not sure how many sub 200 lb QBs would be in that study. It’s just interesting to look at, I’m not dying to draft a bunch of 180 lb players but are we over stating the risk? We probably won’t know till we draft him, which is scary.
  25. Yeah I mean honestly I’d argue both AR and Young will be outliers if they are successful in the NFL, but I also am not scared of taking outlier if they have some elite skill sets, which I think they both do in certain areas. I’m just not writing off either because their profiles don’t have big samples of success. I definitely think Stroud is the safest but the film outside of the Georgia game do concern me a bit with how bad he can be under pressure, I wish I could draft specifically Peach Bowl Stroud.
