  1. Another rookie camp has come and gone. Ron Rivera this may have been the most talent he has seen from a young group. If so, the Panthers could get some much needed help immediately from key positions. It was obvious from watching the offensive line drills that Trai Turner is on the fast track to starting. Turner got more do-overs and one one one assistance than anyone else at the camp. He looked solid also, receiving praise on more than one occasion as well. Rivera made his way over just when Turner was going through some technique work. Probably not a coincidence... There has been a lot of talk about the Canadian Tackle, Foulcault. He is easily one of the largest guys I have ever seen on the football field. He may be a little too tall with a high center of gravity. He was pushed around on more than one occasion by defensive ends who will not be invited to camp. He is a project, to say the least. Overall, the tight ends were the most impressive. There was some very good talent on the field. My personal favorite was the 6'6 Baker prospect Joel Murphy. He caught everything thrown his way and has the size to really make an impact on the field. He is my biggest hope for getting a camp invitation, but the competition at TE is pretty tight as it is. The running backs all looked decent, Tyler Gaffney caught some nice balls out of the backfield. He had one memorable catch on a poorly thrown ball, cradling it over his head and turning up field quickly. Darrin Reaves also looked good. He may be the sleeper of the camp at the skill positions. He has good size and runs low. After practice Rivera praised Philly brown as a very smart football player. Apparently, he is a bit of a cut up as well Kony Ealy looked great at times, and overpowered at others. He had looks at both defensive tackle and defensive end. He was hardly able to get any push at tackle, but performed very well at end. Again, it is difficult to assess the linemen in drills that no pads are worn or full contact is not allowed. The play of the day, and the camp, and possibly the best play I have ever seen at a Panthers practice when to none other than Kelvin Benjamin. In traffic he sprung up out of no where with a beautiful one handed grab towering over everyone. Gettleman nearly had a heart attack from pleasure as KB walked back to the huddle while giving the ole Michael Jordan shrug. This got a great laugh from his fellow receivers. This play told me everything I needed to know. Benjamin absolutely is a high talent individual. That single catch was more than Brandon Lafell had ever shown me, ability wise. This is why he is a first rounder. He can do something that those other guys could not. At the end, Kelvin had much to smile about. Summer School and OTA's start in a few weeks. The coaches will be watching carefully on who retained the information from the rookie camp and carry it through to the next practices. Coachability is something rarely talked about, but could be the difference between who gets a jersey and who does not. Click here to view the article
  2. At his size Allen would need to be a physical freak of nature to play linebacker in the NFL, but he isn't. The guy weighs 218 pounds and may not get any larger. I think you will see the Panthers trying him out at Safety where he could provide some interesting benefit especially on running downs and blitz packages.
  3. Yep, several months. Back in my corporate days I had to fire someone from a failed hair test for cocaine.
  4. With the Carolina Panthers 2014 Rookie Camp coming up tomorrow, you may want to keep an eye on one name in particular. Of all of the undrafted free agents signed with the Panthers, wide receiver Philly Brown may have the best chance to catch on with the team. Brown led the Ohio State Buckeyes with 10 touchdowns last year. At a lean 5'11 and 178 pounds, he has decent size but could use to put on a few pounds. His route running also has much room for improvement. But Philly has one thing you can't teach, speed. His 40 low was a 4.38 making him on of the fastest guys on the practice field and able to compete as a return specialist. With he departure of Ted Ginn it remains to be seen who will be fielding punt returns. Kenjon Barner will be given another chance at the duties, as will Pilares. However, punt return talent is at its thinnest in many seasons. This may be the opening an UDFA like Philly Brown needs to find his name on a locker. Click here to view the article
  5. Welp, Hard Knocks is probably interested in us now Sent from the Carolina Huddle App
  6. So far he seems guilty of hanging out and dating morons.
  7. Here, let me give my 10 year old a bag of mike and ikes and you try to hold him down for a few minutes.
  8. Sure, if you want your eyes scratched out. Crazy women on hard drugs = more dangerous than a rabid badger named Ditka.
  9. The girl in the neighbor call said she was there and saw it. Although, she sounded drunk and like a moron.
  10. Thats what I just tweeted. Thought the same thing.
  11. If she was going ape shit crazy and they were trying to hold her and keep her from hurting herself and themselves I can see how that would sound like a woman getting abused.
  12. Greg still needs to surround himself with higher caliber people. Chance he didn't know she was doing hard drugs = 0%. Find a new gal Greg.
  13. Agree OK, I feel so much better now, Glad the tape was made public.
  14. OK, I am leaning towards her being one psycho crazy mofo now. lol

  16. The Hardy 911 call is out and the link is on TMZ.... http://www.tmz.com/2...k-shes-on-coke/ According to Hardy, his girlfriend was allegedly on drugs while not in control of herself. Hardy himself called 911 for a police officer to escort her out of the home. There is an additional 911 call from a neighbor who heard the scuffle. It is unclear if anything was seen by him. 17. I don't know any people worth knowing that has a domestic abuse charge. You? Sent from the Carolina Huddle App
  18. Unfortunately, Hardy strikes me as the kindof guy that only gets more belligerent after an arrest. Sent from the Carolina Huddle App
  19. Very few top 10 first round picks have the success that Hardy has had. I am not so sure a late second rounder will be able to fill his shoes.
  20. His agent's bargaining power absolutely just took a big hit. I would have like to have seen Drew Rosenhaus's face when he found out.
  21. You love the Kraken, I love the Kraken. We pay to watch him perform on Sundays. But Greg Hardy has needed to learn to separate his professional life from his personal life for quite some time now. A bit of maturity is needed, and quickly. That is usually how it goes for 25 year old men. Throw in plenty of money and fame and often times you have a bigger problem. Over the years with the Panthers there have been signs of trouble. Namely tweeting pictures of dozens of shot glasses, his Bentley speedometer going over 100mph, a driving record with plenty of speeding tickets and a motorcycle accident to name a few. A problem that began in college causing him to plummet in the NFL draft has bled into the NFL Hardy can add a domestic abuse charge to his record, and that is no laughing matter. A lack of maturity has now cost him millions, and could cost him much more. It threatens the long term contract he has worked towards. Personal problems will now fall into the risk category when weighing Hardy's benefit. Even if found completely innocent, the domestic violence charge will follow him around the NFL. We don't yet know what happened yesterday morning. He very well may not be entirely at fault. However, he is 100% responsible for the position he has put himself in. The people he chooses to surround himself with also fall into the "needs maturation" category. These are all red flags leading up to something more substantial. All signs point to more serious problems on the horizon. The NFL is littered with these stories, and Hardy could just be the next sad character and punch line. Unless Hardy can get it turned around, and I mean right now. A full night in a jail cell could be the wake up call Greg has needed for quite some time. Forced to stay the night as a cooling off period, he hopefully used the time wisely and went through accelerated maturation. We all love the Kraken on the field. Lets hope Greg Hardy can learn to leave him there. Click here to view the article
  22. His girlfriend doesn't look like she could do much damage to him... http://web.stagram.com/n/itsmeeenicki
  23. Obviously if it means saving someone else you do what you have to do. I am just talking about in normal relationship type stuff. I really hope Hardy did not punch her.
