A second round pick and a rookie contract isn't gambling big time. Teddy was much more of a gamble.

Spent some time watching all of Darnold's throws over the past three seasons. My thoughts - Pros - - Decent job buying time with his feet and throwing a strike. Excels when rolling out and just balling. - Decent arm strength. Not great, but good enough. - Solid pocket presence. Steps up well when pressured. Good feet. Cons - - Throws really bone headed interceptions. Just doesn't see defenders sometimes. - Confidence. You can just see it dwindle as the games go on. Conclusion Doubtful he will ever be an elite QB, but he may be a good QB for a long ass time if the Panthers can coach him out of his bad habits and teach him how to watch film and gameplan for defenses.

Hey there, just a heads up. I'm going to be annoyingly optimistic about Sam just as I was with Teddy because it is way more fun and life is too short to be a constant sour puss. Sorry, not sorry. Love, Your Ruler

My stance is the exact same as last season. Excited to see what he has. Support him fully. Hopefully he improves and grows into our next franchise qb.

Wonder how much is due diligence and how much is real interest.

There, a happy compromise has been reached.

This thread is like we just pumped out the huddle septic tank

The one plaintiff they have been able to identify so far they have evidence she tried to blackmail him for 30 grand for her silence about consensual sex.

All aboard the Trey Lance train

Well that sucks. Dammit Deshaun.

I've heard stories of players and coaches messaging cheerleaders and reporters, and it's not the guys you would automatically suspect. Quite the opposite. So anything is possible

Still wait and see mode. My gut says it's a couple of actual massage therapists and the rest are unaccredited rub n tug hopping on the money train. If it turns out he assaulted someone, I'm out.

I just get the feeling the truth is in the middle somewhere. Was he less than appropriate with some and should he pay them for it? Yeah probably. Did he rape anyone? I find that very hard to believe. Opportunist lawyer taking some truth and using it to make much bigger and false implications in a money grab.

The way he apologized immediately over text in a very polite way to that one girl makes me think yeah, he crossed the line somehow but also tells me he isn't the type of guy to force oral sex on a woman. Those types of people don't apologize.

Something happened, that is clear. I bet Deshaun got mixed up with some "instagram masseuse" who were rub and tug girls and then got some girls who he thought were but in fact were not, they were legit massage therapists. From the text messages something clearly happened to make one of them uncomfortable. Hopefully the allegations of him forcing anything on any of them are false.

If he was guilty he would have taken the 100 grand settlement. That's chump change. I'm not buying it until they present the receipts.

I'm going to need to see their unaltered IG profiles before I can make a judgement call

Sure seems that way.

We will see. Should be pretty easy for them to prove given all their talk of DMs and text messages.

Not when he was on video leaving an establishment known for human trafficking. I have no issues with guys having a rub and tug from people that choose to do it. I do have issues with women being enslaved to perform it. Surely you see the difference.
