The team announced 13 of their cuts Tuesday morning, including Will Grier, the 2019 third-rounder who played well this preseason. That leaves just Sam Darnold and P.J. Walker on the depth chart at the moment. The Panthers released veteran linebacker Josh Bynes. They also waived wide receiver Omar Bayless, running back Spencer Brown, defensive lineman Frank Herron, offensive lineman Mike Horton, cornerback Jalen Julius, wide receiver Keith Kirkwood, outside linebacker Christian Miller, offensive lineman Aaron Monteiro, wide receiver C.J. Saunders, tight end Stephen Sullivan, and offensive lineman Sam Tecklenburg. That leaves five moves to make ahead of Tuesday's 4 p.m. deadline. One of those will be to place cornerback A.J. Bouye on the reserve/suspended list, as he finishes up two weeks from last year's suspension. He doesn't count toward the 53-man roster while on the list.

Prolly cutting guys today. They have two weeks, a day off won't hurt anyone.

Was shopping for baby girls soccer supplies and saw a Panthers section. Within that section was a plethora of #14 Sam Darnold jerseys. Question. Let's say Sam goes out there and lights it up in convincing fashion and appears to be a franchise QB. Do you purchase his jersey? How long do you wait?

Having CMC in the game will force the defense to bite on play action and free up some big plays.

Cam and Gross

If they can figure out a way to get Moton, Erving, Brown, Christensen and Paradis on the field together I feel like that would be the best unit. Unfortunately, I don't see that happening as Christensen has not played a single snap at guard all training camp to my knowledge.

Imagine being tasked with a corner blitz and seeing #77 Deonte Brown in front of you. Brown pulls really well for a dude that big.

In retrospect, Cam Erving didn't look all that bad last night. The biggest issue by far seems to be at LG and C.

I, for one, am encouraged. I can see him being a winning an here.

That Darnold TD pass was prettier than any we saw all of last year.

Panthers offense getting stuffed by a second string. This isn't ideal.
