When: 1:00 Where: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte NC TV: FOX The Carolina Panthers have a clean bill of health as the New Orleans Saints arrive a bit hobbled with injuries. Now is the time. That's actually the most probable explanation.
-
They have even had meetings with him.

Not to put fuel on the fire but I have heard from pretty reliable people that Tepper isnt a fan of the keep Pounding mantra.
-
Historically, CMCs worst games have been against the saints.
-
I have it on good authority that it was cringe worthy.

Having Miller back and not Daley on the right side should help things a whole heck of a lot. Replacing your worst performer with an average performer is pretty significant.

Also worth noting that Tepper canned a lot of good folks during covid. Probably has a lot to do with these hiccups.
-
This is very untrue.

I can't be seen with common folk.

It is really weird. What happens when that guy's brother doesn't play here anymore? He move on to the next team? Roaring Riot is a grass roots fan base thing and Tepper decides to give that guy all the publicity out of no where. It is really strange.

The new format for the US version is garbage too. Last year was so much better.

This week the Carolina Panthers host division rival New Orleans Saints in a matchup that is sure to frustrate both team. Division games are rarely one sided and can be some of the best action of the entire season. Let us now see what fans of the New Orleans Saints are saying. Isn't it strange to see other fans talk about how much firepower the Carolina Panthers have? I think it is. In my opinion, teams need to be far more worried about the Panthers defense at this point. If the Panthers can pressure Jameis early, he will revert to Tampa Bay Jameis and the game will be won. Some pretty decent points here. Yes, the Panthers offensive line is really bad. But the Jets strength is their defensive line so I don't agree with them having zero pass rush. The Panthers practice against CMC every day. The Saints practice against Kamara every day. Both defenses are well versed in stopping a multi use premier runningback. Will be interesting to watch. Can't really argue with this. The Saints are an established team. The Panthers are up and coming (we hope). The Panthers won't be ready for prime time until they can at least split with New Orleans and Tampa Bay. Quite a few Saints fans are paying attention to what is actually happening in Carolina. Solid coaching, solid defense, solid run game. That is never an easy combination to go up against.

Sam. real die hard vibes

Everything I have heard points to Tepper wanting to squeeze every penny out of everything at the stadium. Taking up the big screens for a chant instead of showing ads probably was why it was done away with. Now they are doing damage control.

2. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-0) Previous rank: 2 Week 1 result: Beat the Cowboys, 31-29 Overreaction: That pass defense, so good down the stretch on the way to the Super Bowl, let Dak Prescott throw for 403 yards on (checks notes) one million screen passes. Four turnovers by the offense is one more than they had in any game last year, and if it weren’t for missed kicks and terrible red-zone efficiency, the Cowboys might have pulled off a huge upset. — Auman Reality check: We saw lapses from the Bucs’ secondary at times last year, too, and they figured it out. Losing Sean Murphy-Bunting is a setback, but for now, I have faith in that group, especially when facing less-dangerous passing offenses than it saw in Week 1. — Jones 5. (tie) New Orleans Saints (1-0) Previous rank: 17 Week 1 result: Beat the Packers, 38-3 (in Jacksonville) Overreaction: Drew who? Jameis Winston had five touchdowns and zero interceptions in his first Saints start. In 70 starts with the Bucs, he had one game with more than four TDs and no picks. But if the Saints can beat Green Bay by 35 without Michael Thomas and David Onyemata and Wil Lutz and such, maybe they can challenge the Bucs for another NFC South title after all. — Auman Reality check: Fair reaction! The Saints were one of the biggest surprises of Week 1, and that just makes the NFC South all the more interesting. — Jones 23. Carolina Panthers (1-0) Previous rank: 24 Week 1 result: Beat the Jets, 19-14 Overreaction: Sam Darnold! Robby Anderson! Against the Jets, no less. It’s only the sixth time in his 39 career games Darnold has accounted for multiple touchdowns without any interceptions. The defense took a shutout late into the third quarter, so maybe things are on the rise in Matt Rhule’s second season with Carolina. Perhaps they catch the Saints overconfident? — Auman Reality check: Darnold gets somewhat lucky in that he’ll face a Saints team without Marshon Lattimore. But I don’t think his streak of games without a turnover lasts long. — Jones 29. Atlanta Falcons (0-1) Previous rank: 26 Week 1 result: Lost to the Eagles, 32-6 Overreaction: Ouch. People thought Philadelphia was a bottom-five team, and it dominated Atlanta. The Falcons totaled 77 net yards on their final nine drives after peaking with two field goals to open the game. Can they miss Julio Jones that much? Can Mike Davis be a starting-caliber running back? Are they going to be picking in the top five again next spring? At least Kyle Pitts had four catches for 31 yards. Sigh. — Auman Reality check: Somehow, the Falcons’ offense was even worse on a second viewing than it was live. Just really rough all around. Sorry, Atlanta. — Jones

Not Panthers related but I will allow it because Falcons trolling is always in good taste.
