Looking into my crystal ball. Matt Rhule will need three starters out of this draft to have a chance at saving his job. Therefore... a) A QB won't be selected. b) At least one trade down is likely. Unfortunately, the 6th pick this year isn't as valuable as other years thanks to a weaker draft class. The Panthers will end up with two late first round picks and one late second round pick. They also might pick up a third round pick and have a well rounded draft. Im tellling you right now, it might be all offensive line.

Matt Rhule needs to win at least 9 games this season to keep his job. He can't do that with a rookie QB. A guy like Cousins or Jimmy G with an I proved offensive line could do it. It is a low ceiling though. With Rhule as coach this team isn't going to be contending. So could be another wasted year instead of truly building for the future with a solid staff and young QB.

Tepper never came out and publicly endorsed Rhule for this season. He could have easily done so, and helped get some of the pressure off Rhule. That didn't happen. Tepper wants the pressure on Rhule. And you know the relationship between pressure and heat....
