The same reason he picked Mac Jones?

Draft Analysis: "A massive value-destroying error"?
weyco2000 replied to PanthersATL's topic in Carolina Panthers
They’ve had 3 winning seasons in 10 years. -
Cutting JJ saves a million dollars, so there you go...

Carter RB, Smith OG and Moses LB are my top 3, the safety’s grading out at this point are not really ball hawks.

Huddle “legends” derail yet another thread with their “knowledge”!!

Seriously I’m not gonna argue about something that happens over 90% of the time... at least!

Come on man, I know it happens but how often?

Yeah the first person a QB identifies when he goes into his pre-read of the defense has little value... Luke was such a overrated bust.

Exactly what I was thinking until I realized it’s quite possibly an attempt at humor.

Panthers 2020 Offensive Line Ranked 18th of 32

Teddy may not do many things right, but his pocket awareness is really good. Not sure of the parameters used to come up with these rankings, but watching game films obviously wasn’t one. -
Are You Really Against Fields or Lance if they fall to #8...
weyco2000 replied to SetfreexX's topic in Carolina Panthers
The ACC finished the season with 5 top 25 teams, 2 made the championship semifinals, the Big 10 finished with 4. The ACC played a full schedule, the Big 10 played 3 or 4 games less. Less games translates to less injury risk, fatigue, having a bad game.... so on and so forth. Cherry picking stats to make your point is like posters pointing out Teddys completion percentage. -
Panthers Well Represented at Fields 2nd Pro Day
weyco2000 replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Why do you people think that drafting a QB in the top 5 or even top 10 automatically improves a team? History has shown that these picks have a high failure rate, because you’re drafting a guy ranked by position not overall. Take Zach Wilson for instance, projected to be the the second overall pick. Now seriously, you’re gonna tell me he’s the second most talented player in the draft? -

Remember when The Huddle complained about Cam’s protection, or lack there of? What has changed, other than the victim of circumstances? -
Panthers Well Represented at Fields 2nd Pro Day
weyco2000 replied to ncfan's topic in Carolina Panthers
The Chiefs were basically a QB away and traded up to get him. The 2019 Chargers were better than their record indicated. We had 2 DL and 1 was KK, so our pick was filling a need. If Herbert HAD dropped, who knows.... but 3/4ths of the Huddle would’ve lost their mind. -
Panthers Well Represented at Fields 2nd Pro Day

I agree, it would be asinine to pick a guy who wouldn’t start day one with the 8th pick. I’d be shocked if we didn’t take bpa of either OL, DB or trade down. -

I think if they wanted Fields they would’ve moved up already. Picking Fields or any QB at #8 would make no sense at this point. The offensive line has been a glaring weakness for over a decade and that should be the focus. -
Any QB not named Trevor Lawrence...

OP should ask why Little is listed as a Tackle....
