TBH, I think Rhule is on very thin ice. I don’t think anyone knows the amount of control he has with player personnel, but he is definitely on a short leash. He’s pretty much stuck with Sam as the starter because of the capital invested. I think Tepper knows that drafting a QB at 6, sets you back 2 more years. This draft is really deep at OL, for once, I’d like to see us trade back, acquire some picks and build an OL.

His target was Lance, there’s no way he gives up that much future draft capital for a specific target and then change his mind.

I don’t think he picks any QB because… 1) Cam was released with 1 year left on his contract. 2) Signed Teddy to a 3 year 63 million contract. Then traded him for a 6th pick and eat a majority of his remaining contract. 3) Traded for Sam and picked up his fifth year option. 4) Resigned PJ. So basically he made his bed with Sam, drafting a QB at 6 would be like admitting failure.

In other words, Zach Wilson and Trey Lance were highly overrated.

Would anyone trade the sixth pick for Wilson or Lance?

You never mentioned Josh Allen, you said young AFC QB’s, I assumed you were referring to Burrows and Mahommes.

Willis signed with Auburn and sat 2 years before transferring to Liberty, which gave him time to develop in a top 10 program. After 5 years in college, nothing really stands out, other than a few highlights.

Certainly you’re not basing this on his production at the collegiate level.

A first and second rounder is not enough to move up to 6.

Personally, I think you try and trade back to build the OL, especially the interior. As for QB’s, there’s a handful better than Wilson or Lance…

Let’s draft an injured QB at 6th overall and let him sit a year, then we’ll focus on the OL rounds 4-7…

I hate losing as well, but our offensive scheme is ass. All of our opponents figure out our game plan after a couple of drives and theres absolutely no adjustments. So actually I take his comments as players taking responsibility, but coaches aren’t. Hell Ron and Shula were heads and shoulders above what we have now.
