Ranking Worst to Best NFL Offseason's
pantherclaw replied to kungfoodude's topic in Carolina Panthers
Everyone but the bucs have been hot poo for years now. With the retirement of Brady, the Bucs automatically get penciled in at the cellar. The Falcons don't have a starting QB. They are better off starting Hienicke, and he's not the answer either. While they added to their terrible defense, they are old pieces. I don't expect them to field a top 10 defense. They will have to rely on the run game to win games. We all know how that works out. The Saints situation was covered very well in the piece. No team in our division, improved as much as we have in this off season. It's not even close. With us finishing 2nd to a bad Brady led Bucs, and Brady gone, we are sitting ontop of the division before a game even starts. -

I loved how brutally honest he was about the Saints situation. Not sure how the experts think they'll win the division simply because of Carr. -

So they could eliminate the kick off from the game, in the name of safety. Bullshit. -
Proof, that you can't fix stupid.

Bryce Young gets majority of first-team reps in first OTA practice
pantherclaw replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Weight/height, it's doesn't matter. He's either going to survive or not. At this point, you should be embracing the fact that he IS our now and future. -
Look, there are fundamental risks with every job. I drive truck, and there is risk for me every day. As much as I make, I don't make nearly as much as professional football players do. Football has ALWAYS been a gladiator sport. Truly. While I'm for trying to make it safe, the players have to assume some risk for playing the sport. Nobody is holding a gun to their head, and forcing them to play. Either accept the risk that comes with it, or.find another.line of work.

I really hate what the NFL has turned into.

I think the pecking order should be fairly obvious. Young, Dalton, and Corral. During preseason, Corral should get more play time than Dalton, simply to see if he has anything. I don't expect him to beat out Dalton on the depth chart, and nor should he. Dalton is a good QB, and more than good QB2.

Moore might.niggt have been an true elite receiver but he was our best, and still young. He'll be missed by me, BUT, we have the talent to be a better receiving core this season.

Yeah, he could be picked early depending how well the offense goes this season. -
Biggest Boom or Bust Position Group?
pantherclaw replied to CanadianCat's topic in Carolina Panthers
I'd say our defensive line. We have a bunch of guys beyond burns and brown. Plus the transition to the 3-4. How well will they transition? Will someone opposite of Burns step up? Will the interior of the line not only hold up, but provide push? If our defense is to take a step forward this year, it starts right here in the trenches. If not, won't matter how good Young is. -
Panthers release Jacob Eason and Preston Williams

Only a fool would make that decision. -
Who cares at this point. The Panthers ain't worries about it. Thank God we have you to.continue to beat a dead horse though.
-
It's not about being safe, or about being reckless. It's about making the decision that is best for the team. There isn't a single fan that is qualified enough to even make an educated guess. We have arguable one of the best football staffs in the NFL, trust in them. Armchair coaches are never in short supply, despite there not a single job that pays for them.

Pretty sure Atlanta owns us, and it's not even close. Atlanta.

Makes the early games more exciting IMO.
-
Another good exercise here, is to get an outside perspective. Ours is just too close.

Strength of schedule this time of year is joke.

Words like "depends", and team he played for, shouldn't be used in this conversation. I love Cam, but he wasn't a top 5 at his position, and he failed to develop to the player he could have been. Luke was an all pro straight out of rhe gates, and he was feared every year he played.
