He wasn't even top 5 at his position.

Thanks for admitting you don't understand the word, "arguably"

Not sure an MVP would make a player qualified to be the GOAT. MVP's are almost always QB's, followed up by running backs. That automatically eliminates that reward as even being in the conversation. So what qualities does a GOAT need to have? Consistent production obviously. Should it be production high enough to be considered one of the best and their position? Leadership has to be part of the equation. Not just impact on the field, but within the franchise too. Sam Mills, consistent production, unbelievable leader, and his impact on this franchise, literally can't be measured. Julius Peppers - an absolute monster at his position, consistency, plus one of the best to ever play the position. Thomas Davis - natural born leader. Consistency on the field, and quite literally personified "keep pounding" Luke Kuechly- arguably the BEST MLB Of his generation Natural leader. He lead some very very good defenses. Pretty difficult picking a favorite child.

fug you are an fricking idiot. You can't read, and you make assumptions. There really isn't any reason talking to an idiot of your qualifications, as you don't know your head from your ass. I never said our front office was perfect. I never even claimed they were any good. I defended their picks, because they got guys off their board at values they deem good. Doesn't matter what you, me, or ANYBODY thinks 2 weeks after the draft. You don't like their picks. Welcome to the club. This team has never picked guys I wanted with very few exceptions. I thought about leaving the first paragraph off, but you're so wrong about me, I can't believe you post the poo you post.

Perspective is everything. Our front office, including Fitt, only drafted guys that was on their board. Which was a total of 145 players. Every single player drafted was one the scouts, and coaches agreed upon and wanted. I would like to pause one moment to drop this truth bomb, the entire draft is a gamble. Our staff when and got as many of the players that was on THEIR board. Not somebody else board. Not some wannt be expert that is behind a fuging desk. So not sure how anyone can sit here, weeks after the draft, and claim they made mistakes. Even if some of the picks don't work out, that is the chance every team makes when drafting players. While I don't expect all these players.to be stars, it's still not mistakes. It's playing the game,Gamble. Welcome to the NFL.

Dang.. I guess we made a huge mistake?
pantherclaw replied to TheCasillas's topic in Carolina Panthers
As a watcher of football for 40 plus years, Mayfield could get out of his own way here. I'm also perfectly okay with him being okay as a buc. We have our QB. NO REMORSE.- 85 replies

Potential $1.2B Panthers stadium renovation discussion
pantherclaw replied to Lame Duck's topic in Carolina Panthers
And you think the current estimate is high... -
These threads are always so cut, as fans say whatever they have to say, to justify it, and make it right in their minds. I'm glad we have an all pro coaching staff that's going to do this the right way, regardless of what we fans think we know better.

Another one falls into the trap that is Sam Darnold
pantherclaw replied to NAS's topic in Carolina Panthers
Sam was looking good here last season when he was playing. Didn't surprise me to see the Rams snag him. -
I enjoyed the entire show.

Panthers have one of NFL's most 'obsessive' fanbases

One visit to the huddle, and "no poo Sherlock!" -
I stopped giving a damn about Mobday night football unless the Panthers are playing, over a decade ago. Sorry, not sorry, ESPN, but you suck and what your suppose to be good at.

He's not a pass rusher. He wasn't drafted to be a pass rusher. He did have a slow start, but the last half of his rookie season was fantastic. He had a down year, but he rebounded. Top 10 is where he should be rated currently. He still has room to grow. He's worth an extension, unless they can find an upgrade in the draft next year.

It's just the off season. Breathe.

4400 yards 35 TD's Less than 200 yard rushing. He's not really a dude that's going to be part of the run game.

Panthers signing Yannick Ngakoue?
pantherclaw replied to TheSpecialJuan's topic in Carolina Panthers
Edge guys in a 3/4 are almost always lacking in the run defense side of things. Seriously. Over 4 decades of football can't be wrong. Just set the edge, and drive them back into the meat of the defense. -
I really didn't think you'd return, yet here you are, showing your inability to comprehend.

Panthers Fans Never Learn
pantherclaw replied to Move the Panthers to Raleigh's topic in Carolina Panthers
Congratulations on making a thread to demonstrate that your you're basically a dick, and you enjoy being one. -
Excuse me, James, James here. He isn't seeking the attention. In fact he is deflecting it, and passing the credit to the football guys. It's the football guys that are then in turn, crediting the Teppers for how supportive they have been in this process. 2 James, 2 entirely different perspectives, and.mine is based sorely on observations, not hyper-bull.

So not sure why ya even sharing this. Honestly you should have kept that to yourself.

If he lives up to his potential, I believe we have a HOF QB. I know, Homer, but for all the talk about his size, this kid has a high floor, and an even higher ceiling.
