Think about what it took from Byrce. To go from being sacked 62 times his rookie season.... to being able to regain his confidence, to the point of slinging all over the place. This kid has it. If he had average the for a proto typical NFL QB, everyone would be saying how special he is.

His injuries have been unfortunate. Most of the time, they don't affect contract negotiations. Simple supply and demand. He will get paid. He is one of the BEST players we have on defense. He is also a leader. We DON'T have the draft picks available to replace him, should we let him go. His value to the team is higher than most in this thread are willing to admit.

Not sure any coach could have done well with our mash unit of a defense. He is a proven coach. Is easier to continue to build the defense, than to scratch it.
