Yeah, being blunt can be taken that way.

glad to see you missed the point entirely.

Gettleman likes him or he wouldn't be a Panther. Guess that part was lost on you. No surprise there.
-
says you. Cotchery has had a very long successful career. Unfortunately, the Panthers needed him to be a number two receiver, when he's a geeat number 3/ricky proehl's role throughout his career. It's amazing how many ignorant fans spout of when they truly don't know anything.

I like Greg Jennings. I don't know that we'd be able to afford him, but stranger things happen. I wouldn't want to get ride of Cotchery just because we gained Jennings. KB Jennings Cotchery Ginn Brown ....is a pretty good lineup. This doesn't mention any talented receiver that may fall to us, and be BPA.

Todd Gurley to visit with the Panthers

this, every time. I laugh at thise who are scared, and say "not at 25." Getts is doing his job, which is to evaluate the talent. All of it. Not what just expected to be there, that would be idiotic. I also know if Getts pick him, we should be thrilled to be adding another weapon for cam. -
Stew played more games/missed less games early in his career than Williams did. Seriously. I don't give a damn about missing practice, so don't bring that up. Stew has had a couple of unfortunate injuries, as ALL running backs do. Stew is a horse. I also don't expect any 1 running back to survive a season without injury. I know it happens, but the fact is, runningback is the shortest career in the NFL because of injuries. People need to stop labeling Stew and other backs injury prone. It is very misguided. P.S. The hate for Williams is more classless than the whining Williams did When he left the Panthers. But I have learned, that at least 50% of fans gotta have some to bitch/gripe about. So i do my best to ignore it.

please stop.

that's not what I'm saying, so it is you that remains clueless.
-
BTW, I'm all for getting him another weapon, especially one with more top end speed with good hands. But that isn't the debate. The bullcrap trying to be passed off around here is he hasn't had weapons, when he has.
-
1000 yards in his rookie season says you're lying to yourself. Once again, health and consistency issues with the oline.
-
i never said anything about can't have a number 2 receiver. It hasn't been for a lack or trying. It just hasn't panned out. Our running backs weren't the problem, injuries along the oline, and the oline constantly being in flux was the issue with the running game. I am being honest, so take your "holier-than-thou" attitude and stick it where the sun doesn't shine. Gettleman knows how to run a team. It's been evident since he's been here.

Cam has always had one of the best receivers in the game, very good TE, and two good running backs. He's always had weapons around him.

I like it. Good fit. Happy for him.

Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
pantherclaw replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
lol I'd pass on your recommendations. I don't feel bringing in crap to throw at the position would have helped any. Let me tell you what, I don't want ya to stop hating on Gettleman, cause those of us who know better need more entertainment on the huddle. -
Ted Williams on why he chose the Panthers

Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
pantherclaw replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
he didn't bring those guys in, and he couldn't afford to upgrade the positions. That's his failure? In what world do you live in? -
Gettleman has a proven history of consistently being part of free agency, with the Giants. They were very successful at it while he was there.

I'm not worried at all. Things are going as I expected them to. It's a long off season, and there is no reason to be worried.

Lol at all the bell and chandler comments. Can't believe that has jaded so many fans about Gettleman's abilities. -
Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
pantherclaw replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
all I'm stating is he has the talent. He and the coaches still gotta get him to play up to his potential, which i can't promise will happen....but I'm confident that he can play well enough to be a stop gap for a year, or two. That's all we really need. If he plays better than that, then that's a bonus. -

I'm more realistic than most fans. Pretty even keeled. I don't care if ya disagree. Just shows me ya don't know Oher enough to really have an opinion on him. which is most of the huddle right now. -
Gettleman: Oher can be answer at left tackle
pantherclaw replied to Jeremy Igo's topic in Carolina Panthers
More athletic, stronger. Gross had average at best ability, but his technique was steller. Which is why he was such a good consistent tackle, even on the left side when most experts thought he could only be on the right. Love Oher's talent. Don't know why anybody wouldn't. He's back with one of the best line coaches in the league. I like that. If ya don't, I don't care. Piss off. -
